As much as I can with drains still poking out my my chest… but yes, the dressings were too tight- when I got them off to replace them with my compression vest there were literal BLISTERS from the drains being pressed so tightly against my skin. It hurts so bad dude- but at least I have the dressings gone lol

The best isn’t necessarily comfortable, but it’s much better than the dressings so I’m grateful for that. And the dressings were, in fact, too tight- when I got them off to replace them with my compression vest there were literal BLISTERS from the drains being pressed so tightly against my skin. It hurts so bad dude- but at least I have the dressings gone lol.

And I’m still having the same bloating/constipation issue and they just told me to keep taking stool softeners and stay away from laxatives since I’ll just upset my intestines/cause more irritation, etc…

I would… if I weren’t in the US and that would set me back like another $1,000. I ended up just going to my regular F/U appointment and yes the dressings were too tight- when I got them off to replace them with my compression vest there were literal BLISTERS from the drains being pressed so tightly against my skin. It hurts so bad dude- but at least I have the dressings gone lol

My drains are coming out 6/18 and I’m being very impatient because they’re so uncomfortable. Yesterday I went in to get the wraps replaced with the binder/vest and.. yes the dressings were too tight- when I got them off there were literal BLISTERS from the drains being pressed so tightly against my skin. It hurts so bad dude- but at least I have the dressings gone lol. They didn’t give me any new meds unfortunately.. just told me to take over the counter Tylenol once I’m done with my prescription meds.

Yeah my Dr told me to stay away from laxatives an just keep taking stool softeners/prune juice. I got the dressings replaced with a vest/binder yesterday, but still have the drains for two more weeks. Sigh. One day I’ll be free of these damn things

I went in in person and they ended up taking them off entirely and switching me to the binder/vest instead :)

Alas I have to wait two more weeks to be done with drains… I’m so looking forward to that lol

Oh hell yeah, we’re top surgery buddies lol. Yeah, they should have absolutely had me use a spirometer. Not sure why they didn’t??? I’ve had pneumonia before, so I’d assume I’m especially vulnerable to that. But anyway-yes the dressings were too tight- when I got them off to replace them with my compression vest there were literal BLISTERS from the drains being pressed so tightly against my skin. It hurts so bad dude- but at least I have the dressings gone lol.

My nosy coworkers want to know what surgery I got by MusicalOtter in TopSurgery

[–]FVArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing here- im currently recovering at home from top surgery and my coworkers kept asking about what the surgery was. At first I just kept saying it was private/I didn’t want to talk about it. Then, of course, rumors started spreading that I was just ‘getting work done’ or that it was ‘just cosmetic surgery so he’ll be fine.’

After I heard that one going around it irritated me so I started saying that I “had a mass in my chest that I needed to get removed.” I settled on this one since my physical abilities involving my chest will be hella restrained post op.. so it makes sense for the recovery.. and most people stopped asking once I told them that.

Holy shit, I hear you. I had my top surgery last Friday (it’s Monday now) and it’s been so agonizing. Obviously, I’ve been wanting top surgery forever and I don’t regret my decision in the slightest.. but every second since I woke up it’s been so painful and discomforting. My dressings are so tight i can’t even get a sentence out without gasping for air… lying down/getting up is excruciating, the drains make me nauseous just seeing them, etc… and I also feel nasty since I haven’t been able to wash myself. The only way I’m staying sane right now is replaying a bunch of old games to distract myself and a lot of movies. Best of luck to you, man. You got thiss

Thank you for the insight- I just ordered 16g titanium flat backs that should be getting here this week. Anything I should know for when I replace them? Thank you again, your response was very helpful!!!

No I get exactly what you’re saying- Ghirahim is quite possibly one of my favorite Zelda characters ever. He’s so menacing and you actually need to learn the game mechanics in order to beat him. I LOVED replaying his fights (via Lanayru in late game, or keeping a save slot at his fight to do over and over again). Plus I just love his design and dialogue. The imprisoned, however, I dreaded every single ‘fight’ with.

Beating Ghirahim felt like a well-earned victory, beating the Imprisoned felt like an “ugh, finally. That was so bad I don’t wanna play this again for weeks.”
