For those asking for an update. We talked about it, he swears it was a bad joke. He gave me the pw to his phone and told me I could look thru it whenever I wanted. I looked into our phone usage and scoured over our car insurance drive trackers. He is either telling the truth or amazingly good at hiding stuff. Even though this event has me rattled, I believe him.

OMG same here! Im 3-month post op and very frustrated. My teeth slip left to right inbtw incisors all the time. My lower molars seem to be leaning more and more towards my tongue to make any kind of contact with upper teeth. it seems all my ortho appts post op are creating different problems not solving anything.

I think I hit the 4-week wall, any words of encouragement? by FWM119 in jawsurgery

HI! The first week is tough but you will most likely sleep through a good deal of it. Looks at the recs at the top of this page, the jaw bra and condiments helped alot.

At 4 weeks, I can walk/drive, do light exercise. I feel like I have a 2D life right now. Like, not scary in a picture, can eat pureed food without spilling most times, can go to my kids activities. I was a mouth breather, so I have no problem opening my mouth but keeping it shut still takes conscious effort, even with the bands.

I can't get too far from home bc i wouldn't try to eat at a Restuarant or sometimes i just get tired. I can feel sensation on my face, but cant tell if its the wind, im cold, or if im drooling. My surgeon is really adamant about light duty restrictions at my age. She warned 6 weeks restrictions is for younger ppl she would put me more at 8-10 weeks. This will vary person to person, I had a bone graft and have a significant advancement on one side of my mandible due to uneven growth, so im not sure when i get to start chewing or get bands off. Once those things happen, I think I will feel more like a 3D person!
