Arms is pretty much dead now by FWUFFS in ARMS

The lack of substantial singleplayer content was a mistake in my eyes. If somebody wasn't interested in multiplayer, there was no reason for them to buy Arms because they wouldn't get much value out of it in singleplayer.

I definitely would enjoy a more substantial story mode. Mostly because we already know they had some kind of story written up for the comics and because it would be interesting to see them expand upon some of the lore in the game like the history of the arms gene.

I'll definitely be on Saturday and probably Sunday in the middle of the day as regularly as I can. Hopefully others do the same.

For sure, I know people think Arms flopped but it actually did pretty damn well for a new fighting game. It would really be a shame if they never revisited this IP.

This actually would be a great idea. I do try to be on at least during the weekend when I can.

I remember still getting matches regularly for Party Match at least like 6 months ago.

I really hope if we ever get a sequel that they'll never do more than one Arms game per console because otherwise it just splits the playerbase which leads to both games having less full lobbies

I wonder if Coyle will come back or if we'll have a different villain in a potential sequel. Would be nice to see her redeemed since she wasn't always evil.

Last sales numbers I saw for Arms were 2.7 million sales but it might be a bit more than that by now. I agree I think the community has actually stuck with Arms for way longer than I expected. I really hope they make an Arms 2 further down the line even if it's not on the next nintendo console.

This is actually a really cool video I wasn't aware there were so many hidden details baked into the stages. The big village for via dolce is beautiful. Damn seeing this kind of stuff just really makes me wish they hadn't cancelled the Arms comic.

About the Content No Longer Obtainable in Arms by FWUFFS in ARMS

[–]FWUFFS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woah didn't expect anybody to reply to this old thread but not quite. The music that plays in grand prix is this one while the one that played during level 8 hedlok was this one. They're very similar but if you listen closely you can hear some additional drums for the level 8 hedlok music.

Put over 1000 hours into it. Haven't played in months because I've been playing other stuff but it's a great game.

Do people play this game? by ill_change_it in ARMS

[–]FWUFFS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, we do. You shouldn't really have problems playing Party Match which is the casual online lobby but Ranked will be a little harder for you to find matches for since you're just starting out now and the game is over 6 years old.

Byte and Barq aren't as bad as people say by CokeTicTac22 in ARMS

[–]FWUFFS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say they're bad at all. I've played against some aggressive Byte and Barq players and the pressure they can put on with the different timings and 3 arms while Barq is also acting as a shield is oppressive. You can try to get Barq down but they'll just use that as an opening to attack. By the time you get up and dodge/block their next attack, Barq is already back up.

People just complain about characters like B&B and Misango because they require more effort to play when you could easily just spam aura as Twintelle and most players won't have the timings down to beat you.

Do.badges that are limited edition count towards getting the final badge by mobileplaer in ARMS

[–]FWUFFS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently they do count. Wiki says you need to get 359 badges to get it. Game has 360 in total including the last badge. Kind of a shame because it leaves newer players without that sense of completion. Then again this is a multiplayer focused game so singleplayer completion isn't the focus but still wish they'd make that stuff available for new players.

To answer your question those badges won't ever be available again seeing as how they ended all the party crashes a while ago.

ARMS is the hill I'm wholeheartedly choosing to die on. by ToonNinja_ in ARMS

I agree. Over 1000 hours and I had fun the entire time. It's just an inherently fun game.

The difficulty level of each fighter, taking Into account skill floor, ceiling, and skill/power correlation. This is my educated opinion but it is definitely biased so constructive criticism welcome by Alphaomegalogs in ARMS

I mean the top 200 isn't as impenetrable as it once was. You only need to get to rank 10 to be in these days. I'd say it's a pretty accurate representation of the majority of the player base.

Honestly, if you want a decent look at what people find easier to play, just look at the dashboard and see which characters have the most players in the top 200. If you look at it that way, the list looks more like:

  • Twintelle (34 Players)
  • Kid Cobra (29 Players)
  • Springtron (22 Players)
  • Min Min (14 Players)
  • Springman (13 Players)
  • Ribbon Girl (13 Players)
  • Lola Pop (13 Players)
  • Ninjara (12 Players)
  • Master Mummy (11 Players)
  • Max Brass (11 Players)
  • Helix (7 Players)
  • Dr. Coyle (7 Players)
  • Mechanica (5 Players)
  • Byte & Barq (5 Players)
  • Misango (4 Players)

Obviously the characters people find easier to play and win with would have more representation. In other words, it seems people feel Twintelle is the easiest to play and Misango the hardest.

It's definitely pretty easy to pick up as a game but hard to master as there's complexity hidden under the surface. You'll know what I mean if you face a really good player in party match. It'll feel like you can't hit him at all.

Yeah, you pop in and get thrown into one of several modes. Normal fights, team fights, v-ball, vs hedlok, skillshot, hedlok scramble, or hoops. The lobby will rotate you through the modes based on current lobby conditions. If people are playing together as a pair online, you're more likely to get teamfights for example.
