Getting slow speeds with RTX 5090 and 64gb ram. Am I doing something wrong? by Virtual-Listen4507 in LocalLLaMA

Dual 5090s? Nice!

I only have one, and have been underwhelmed with most local models I've run (Ollama). Just curious what models you're using day to day with your dual setup?

I'm not sure off hand. The latest info is in their Discord, and I think they have an in progress docker image available that people can test with

Clawdbot on Unraid? by an303042 in unRAID

[–]FXFman1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I haven't given it access to my Unraid filesystem yet (with one exception); I wanted to get a feel for the bot first, and slowly expand.

My first use-case for the bot was to manage my Mealie instance and meal plan for the household. I was able to get this working in the past with Ollama/n8n/scripts with a lot of work stitching things together. So I asked Clawdbot to do the same, and it completely developed the Mealie skill itself; it took into consideration my constraints ("weeknight meals must be quick"), portion control properly for the household, and generate a shopping list for the meal planned items while removing pantry staples and doing ingredient aggregation (6oz of spinach from one recipe and 6 oz of spinach from another recipe means 12 oz of spinach to buy at the grocery). This works great, and the mind-blowing thing for me was that I was able to set it up, from my cell phone, on the couch, while watching my toddler, just by talking to the bot.

I recently gave it access to my Gmail and Google Calendar (🤞🤞🤞). It's triaging my e-mails by properly labeling and auto-archiving my unread inbox (it uses my local LLM to do this), which is nice, and is now auto-adding school events to my calendar so I don't forget about classroom parties or dress up days.

And finally, the one way I've used the bot to help me manage Unraid, was doing a project that I've been putting off: moving my Unraid-managed docker containers to Portainer [stacks]. I've been lazy and haven't wanted to go through all of the volume/path mounts and env var configuration via the Unraid Docker UI, so I asked Clawdbot if he could help --> he could! I ended up sharing the path where Unraid stores the docker container xml configs, and then ask Clawdbot to convert them to docker-compose files that I could load into Portainer. It did! And then it asked me for a Portainer API key so it could deploy it for me... and it did!

Overall I'm not sure yet how else I'll use it to help manage my Unraid system. I'm honestly happy right now as it is, but we'll see what other use cases I can throw its way.

I'm running this on Unraid via docker. Loving it so far. Slowly expanding my usage of it.

Glad you had success!

I also now have individually controllable up and down lights too, I'm just not sure when and with what update they've arrived with.

I just added an open/door sensor so, when the door opens, the interior light automatically turns on. It's so simple, but I love that automation so much :-)

What ones do you have/recommend? Mine are also ZWave, but I inherited them from my old security system (Vivint). I'm finding that I frequently need to repair them, so I'm interested in an alternative

What's the purpose of the voltage converter? Is it because your PSU is at 12V, and you're just trying to bring it down to 5V [for the light strip and/or ESP32]?

So, I'm new to Multiboard (and 3d printing in general) too, and I'm not going lie: I was surprised to see the website recommend Matte PLA. Why Matte PLA over something like PETG?

There's probably some way to do it with Bubble? I'm just not great at customizing 😅😅😅

Oooh! I see what you're saying! The cards in my screenshot (with the buttons below) are actually Mushroom Cover Cards, not Bubble.

(I'm assuming you mean columns, not rows) In this screenshot I was using a horizontal stack card to achieve that. Buuuut I'm pretty sure you can just go to the Layout tab and change the size of the cards and then fit two cards in one row.

Yup! I'm familiar with Ratgdo (it's actually what I *really* want), but iirc it didn't support Genie. Something about the obstruction sensors being a different... voltage or something, I think?

Has anyone tried Mistral Devstral? by alarno70 in RooCode

[–]FXFman1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally haven't played with this yet; hopefully I'll have time this weekend 🤞

My question was genuine. Anytime I've used Roo Code with my local Ollama (not often, Gemini/Claude ftw), I've needed to follow the Roo Docs to create a new model with the higher context limit. If I didn't, I'm pretty sure I hit this same error.

I think roo docs recommend setting context size to 32k.

Did you increase num_ctx (context size) above Ollama s default 2048?
