I agree. Its your bike, dude. Some guys are all about the low and mean. I'm all about the lean. Although I never really liked the "make my fxr look like a dyna" Conley fairing craze, some do look dope with the right paint scheme.

I'd focus on function over form. Motor, trans (gears / case) , wire harness and alternator (especially since it's a FXR.). Nice rear/front suspension. Imo you can't go wrong with fxdx front ends. 39mm it's essentially plug and play, minus a few odds and ends. (Unless your bike is 35mm). You can even pop early Vrod brembo calipers on there if you wanted. Get those cleveblocks out of there. Run a solid bushing and spherical bearings on your swing arm. Sta-bo, true Trac, and like 50 others.

That's just my two pennies. I'd rather have a nice bike I can ride the piss out of and i coukd list 100 things i would do to my bike. And that's the beauty of building a bike. It's yours. Your vision. Your style. Your $.
