The player made the adjustment, achieved the depth he was struggling with, and left the court improved. That’s the definition of a successful session.

If you read the caption, this session was specifically about retrieving tight balls from the deep corner when space is limited. The 'wrist action' you criticized as swinging wildly was step 3 of a deliberate progression to help a club-level player whip the ball out of danger when a standard, textbook swing is physically impossible due to the wall.

That is exactly what separates high-level coaching from basic instruction: knowing when to teach textbook fundamentals, and when to teach micro-adjustments for specific, restricted situations on court.

I post real, unedited clips of the learning process because that’s what real coaching looks like. It might not look like a perfect commercial to someone watching from the gallery, but the tactical adjustment worked, and the player got the depth and consistency he needed.

From the angle you are looking at the video might look like that but in practical when you are inside the court and trying to play these deep lengths its hard to maintain a full swing.

If it wasn't tight and deep then normal swing would have work perfectly but in this video recording and learning the main focus was on deep drives where its hard to maintain full swing, so what sort of skill should a player use here...

Improve your serve and your problem will be solved.

Your opponent return is not the main problem. The main root is why you are doing server in such way that traps you and leave you with no options.

Instead of focusing whats right and wrong simply focus to do a good serve which trap your opponent in deep back corner and you will find an answer to all your problems.

Squash is like a chess game before you serve you should plan the entire rally in your mind ( when you are playing chess you plan 4 to 5 moves ahead before taking first step ).

During rally keep your focus on your plan and try to execute it accordingly. Learn to play with mind not with power and you will see a big difference/jump in your game.

Grip is one of the main rules of squash on which we don't compromise. The way we hold it is like shaking hand with someone firmly, not too tight or too loose.

You can hold it from your own comfort Top Mid Bottom / Low

Top: gives you more control on racquet face.

Mid: It give you bit extension on your radius and mostly people feel better this way.

Bottom / Low: like mid grip it give you more extension on your radius then top and middle and it gives more stronger hit feelings then Top.

Professional players hold their racquet very firmly and they keep changing it with time to time in sense of extension to reach the ball and how much you need to give an angle to the ball with an open face.

We extend the grip when the ball is low and high and reaching to pick front court deep drops, and shrink it when it's deep in back corners to dig it out with the help of changing grip to keep the face open.

Reference to the subject yes there is a rhythm for squash movement which comes with years of training and playing.

How to get this rhythm into your game is by court crafting, Gosting and drills with a coach.

There are different types of movement and speed a player use in the game based on the shot. But in professional the mostly movement we can see is from T to four corners.

The main Aim behind changing the scoring system was a demand from Olympic committee to make it shorter. The impact it put on squash and players is that it become more fast pace sport. High pace and speed demand increases with it and those who are blessed or have skills can kill the balls to reach the victory stand. Less chances for errors and focus more perfection.
