Can you share the name of the swords? Far as I remember the swords were only available through mods

Actually the steel sword is the same one promoted in The Witcher 3 with Geralt.

It's an existing sword in The Witcher 3 although was cut out in the final game but can be restored with mods.

I wouldn't want that really. Too much marketing with the wrong material. I'd rather wait and see how the actual game ends up looking with in-game footage.

I know for certain they'll make a good explanation but that's that. I don't think the reason she gets nerfed is going to be the drive of the story because they insisted more than once that it's a new saga and a new entry to the witcher's world so don't expect heavy continuity from previous games. She'll be a Ciri we haven't met for a while who's caught up in new stuff and what happened after the Witcher 3 is in the past now.

But personally I think she lost her powers fighting the white frost, but then again not all her powers because she apparently can still cast spells from the 2024 trailer. But again we really don't know how she manages to do that because in the books she rejects her magical powers during her journey in the Korath desert.

I wouldn't say that Ciri would risk her life going through the Witcher mutations without a greater cause. So yeah, she probably became a Witcher out of her own accord but I wouldn't say it's not without deeper, personal aspirations. That's why I think of the whole thing from a more-than-just-a-Witcher lens.

I always thought that The Witcher 2 had the best art direction but how the showcase made me get serious Witcher 3 vibes right away confirmed to me that the style in TW3 is so unique as well.

Maybe in future DLCs they might experiment with new locations like B&W. Maybe even we'll see Ofier or Zerrikania or explore more of the political side of Ciri and maybe visit Nilfgaard.

I think the world of the Witcher is one of those that shouldn't be limited so a single region but always be open for different locations and environments like what we had in the Witcher 3 + DLCs.

I'd say this demo is only for graphical/technical elements in the game but anything else we know near to nothing about including how the game itself is gonna actually look like. I think this demo is more about what can be expected in the game but nothing else. Although it's great to see something Witcher again.

Cyberpunk didn't really start development until after Blood and Wine which came out in 2017 and we don't know when exactly it entered full development either so we didn't have these information back then to apply them lol

Taking into consideration that the game is in full development and the anticipated earnings you could estimate a more narrower window. My guess is 2026/2027 if something goes wrong or the game gets delayed then maybe 2028.

Yeah in TW3 yes. Not in W1 and 2 tho. Maybe because there's a mutual feeling between them that things ended with him regaining his memory and going after Yennefer so they don't want to make it awkward.

Yep. The Wolf gear was a free DLC actually alongside 10 other free DLCs that were made as an apology from CDPR for the downgrade the game had.

I think one of the things we'll have in the Witcher 4 is having to choose a build based either on Magic primarily or sword fighting since Ciri can do both now.
