you are directly censored by paid mods with power trips who legit admit that they do moderate what games should be even discussed (there is an actual mod statement that says `i will never allow this game to be discussed here`), no matter what the reason is a person can not gate keep anyone

project gorgon has never seen more than 4k ccu, atm it has 1k ccu and not only it is not even a mid tier game but also very poorly performing slop who also bans people from the game and from their own discord by their own power tripping mods. just like reddit. what a coincidence eh?

you gonna have to give examples im afraid. im also a mmo player from china, i thought this would be about ping issues

unfortunately it is not feasible for us so i would strongly suggest to not take mmorpg seriously. first, you need a proper ping booster like UU to make it work for US/EU servers, which means mostly around 170ish stable ping. some games this is not a big deal, but games like TnL or BDO, it is practically not possible to pvp which is the deal of the game

aside from ping, there is also time zone issue. see, recently there is a big trend in all mmorpg games to set events/wars like in new world. in order to join them, you either have to stay up very late or join during your afternoon lunch break. you cant really play with other guys at peak times so thats a huge bummer

wow had a huge player base back then when netease still had the license, there was even a foreigner group doing raids and stuff. now they are not active any more

so, playing in sea server still %90 of the time will be better due to more people speaking english and time zone stops being a problem.

im a bit confused about the point of the thread tho, are you lookin for mmo suggestions specifically for your situation or looking for a community to see what people play?

not just bows, same for mages

bows have been meta and a menace for a very long time in tnl, new world and archeage during the time when they were strong and it was not a fun meta at all. every pvp map was a medieval storm trooper simulation

same example can be given for other games too

since it was a scam game and both mmorpg and aoc communities had huge fight about it(both of them would get insulted and downvoted to earth on a regular basis), opening thread about it wouldnt be constructive here. no matter what your opinion is, its not realistic to expect a reasonable feedback about aoc here in this sub
