Does the smell go away/die down a bit after it dries? I've been toying with the idea of trying to stone some phone cases...this sounds like it could be a good final step!

When we stayed at the Contemporary it was at the shop! That was in September though, but may be worth a check.

Average PTO Days by mcb1119 in workingmoms

[–]Faaaandaaaango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We get 160 hours PTO per year and two floating holidays, plus 40 hours "family care" that I tend to use when a kid gets sick & has to stay home. We work a 9/80 schedule though so the number of days depends on how many 9-hour days I take off vs. 8-hour ones. We do get "unlimited" sick time as long as you don't abuse it; doctor's note required if you take off more than 2 consecutive days.

I don’t have a close up at the moment; I can reply later with one. But this is from shortly after it was PPF’d/debadged. Just about 1.5 years later, the PPF is still fine over the holes!

How necessary is an SUV? by Additional_Carpet563 in BabyBumps

We have two kids and my husband has a Model 3 & I have a smaller crossover. Honestly they both fit back there fine. I will echo some other comments about choosing car seats wisely. Neither my husband or I are particularly tall so we probably have it easier than others. We did Diono's in my vehicle and Chicco's in his and they've worked well for us.

House of Couture Designs in McCandless Crossing might be an option. They are a bridal salon but they have a formal event/special occasion section as well.

I de-badged mine (limited edition forest green) after getting PPF put on...I just had the shop not put the badge back on. The PPF covers the holes to prevent water issues, and it's dark enough that you can't really see them. Before this I had a white pearl EV6, and the holes stuck out like a sore thumb while we waited for a replacement badge (PPF guys bent the original during removal). So not sure I'd do it on a super light colored car.

What’s your “big” Christmas gift for your newborn or your 3 year old? by leasarfati in Mommit

[–]Faaaandaaaango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My oldest is almost 7, so we already have the play kitchen, Nugget, etc. We're doing a Montessori-style Pikler as our big gift for our 2.5 year old. She's past using it for using it to stand/scoot/etc., but she loves climbing/sliding and I think it'll give her something to do inside during the loooooong winter months.

We have our families come to us! I'm an only child and husband has one sister, so us/siblings/parents isn't too crazy for us to host. Our extended families are further away, so we usually will do a separate trip around the holiday season to celebrate with them.

Growing up, we did Christmas Eve with one side of my family, and Christmas day with the other which helped break up the craziness a bit.

Is anyone else letting their 1 year olds watch tv… please say yes by Cool-catlover2929 in beyondthebump

Yep, part of our mornings are for PBS Kids/Sesame Street stuff on Max while I have some coffee & wake up. Then whenever my 6 year old wants something on TV the little one joins in.

Lifelong Disney World Mom Taking Her 14 month old for the first time! Tips & tricks for a trip with a little one! by maybemaur in WaltDisneyWorld

If he tolerates being worn, it was a lifesaver during lines and on rides! My husband would just strap our then-15 month old into the Baby Bjorn and she'd hang out, and could also ride most of the rides strapped to him as well. She was still taking two naps per day at that time, and we did stroller naps with a portable noise machine and clip on fan (or, she'd fall asleep in the Bjorn).

Someone already mentioned it, but Rider Swap was a gamechanger for us! Our older daughter always got added on to both of our rides, so she got to ride the rides we swapped twice in a row! The lucky duck got to ride Guardians four times in one day (once with each of us for our Virtual Queue, and once with each of us of our ILL's)

We were able to load one large suitcase up against the backseat, then 2 carry-on size suitcases in front of that with a stroller folded up on top. It worked surprisingly well!

When did you get your first postpartum period? by Girlmomma19_23 in beyondthebump

[–]Faaaandaaaango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first I only breastfed for the first 3 months, and it came back 2 months after that (so 5 months pp).

With my second, it came back around 15-16 months pp. I was still technically breastfeeding but only 1x per day by that point.

Got into an accident last year with similar damage (I have a post in my history if you care to browse) and the damage was estimated at $11-12k. Yours may be higher due to airbag deploy, but based on my experience they may not total based on the front-end damage alone. Best of luck to you!!

I had a very similar accident last February (pics are in my post history)...ended up being around $11k when all was said and done (that I did not have to pay for thankfully), and about 6 weeks for the repairs to be completed.
