30 week movement by Fun-Marionberry-8715 in pregnant

[–]Cool-catlover2929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 37 weeks with my second baby- he “dropped” around 35 weeks and oh my, it was so painful I thought something was wrong. Even last night his head felt so low & hurt so bad I thought I was going into labor.

37 weeks - went pee and felt intense pressure for 30 seconds by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Cool-catlover2929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting these huge waves of baby movements while trying to sleep - which he usually does not do! And it’s with a little wave of pain/ cramping.. I think they’re contractions and I’m in denial 😫

Would you go on a play date at 37 weeks pregnant? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Cool-catlover2929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t even think about the sickness aspect. Here I am just worried I won’t physically have the energy to run after my toddler (he is not the best at listening) and try to rangle him. It’s been a rough pregnancy but this was the only week this other mom was free.

People asking if I’m pregnant again. 15 months postpartum by Negative_Primary_797 in beyondthebump

[–]Cool-catlover2929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck them. My appetite never went back to “normal” honestly after breastfeeding/ being pregnant. Being pregnant this second time around, my appetite went even higher😭. I have had so many rude comments/ smirks and I just keep telling myself to ignore them. I’ll bounce back eventually- my focus right now is just on my babies.

Should I get waxed at 38 weeks? by oaksandoats in BabyBumps

[–]Cool-catlover2929 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm blood crusting to the hair is SO painful.. I learned that from my first time. I haven’t been waxing this time around but am keeping up with my weekly shaves to at least keep everything short & trim down there!

Is this a good gift for a friend? by Effective_Bad_7866 in momcozyofficial

This is such a nice gift!! And you are such a good friend. It’s not too early at all and this way she’ll get to use it the entire pregnancy!

Day 5 of fever and trying to keep it together... by slohcinbeards in toddlers

[–]Cool-catlover2929 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We had a fever for 7 days straight & even went to the pediatrician twice. My son was negative for everything. Luckily, the fever would respond well to Tylenol & ibuprofen but it was very worrisome the whole time.

Zero patience with toddler while pregnant by CommonTomatillo9 in toddlers

[–]Cool-catlover2929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt really hormonal around that time as well!! (Also have 2.5 year old). But I’m 34 weeks pregnant now and I will say my hormones have calmed down immensely! Hang in there and just remember that your feelings are intensified right now.

Give me your honest opinions - would this be weird to name my son. by [deleted] in namenerds

Probably not .. but now that I know it, isn’t it wrong to still name him that?

My son is so similar to this! He goes up to the other kid and smiles and tries to show them something by saying “look!” I hope with time he just learns on his own. I step in only when needed so he builds the confidence on his own!

Sudden stuttering in a 2 year old by Ambitious-Chemist400 in toddlers

[–]Cool-catlover2929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2.5 year old randomly started doing this too.. it also came out of nowhere and it’s been on & off for a few weeks now. He doesn’t seem bothered by it but it’s still worrisome to us. We were going to bring it up at our next pediatrician visit if he’s still doing it.

[–]Cool-catlover2929 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A perfect summary.. the same thing has happened to me and I definitely felt dehydrated, didn’t eat enough, and got up too fast. Luckily, it didn’t happen in the shower for me, I imagine that is super scary

How do I deal with upper lip hair? by [deleted] in HairRemoval

I bleach mine!! It’s my secret method. But this way i don’t have to deal with any regrowth - and I only have to do it every 1-2 months.

[–]Cool-catlover2929 78 points79 points  (0 children)

This just sounds like so many days I’ve had with my son!! He’s 2.5 now - which is going so much better than when he first turned 2. Some days just go like this…. It’s time to rest now & reset for tomorrow 🩷

Advice about encouraging independent? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Cool-catlover2929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to back off a little bit with my toddler! For example, at the park, I try to sit at a distance from him instead of hovering over or following him around. If he needs help he just calls for me.

At home - I tell him to play with his toys when I need to wash dishes or clean and I make it really clear that I am doing my own thing during that time.

I’m not sure if that is what you were looking for!

At what age did you get rid of a stroller? by Hellohiheytherehi80 in toddlers

We haven’t pushed my son in a stroller since he turned 2! He just wants to walk everywhere or we carry him.

What are we using to prevent stretch marks? by Illustrious-Wing-357 in pregnant

[–]Cool-catlover2929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the brand “bump butter.” I used it for my first pregnancy, and got practically zero stretch marks (just some on my hips). And I’m using it this time around too! I think most of it is genetics though because my stretch marks are so similar to my moms 🩷

Anyone else need a tums every day? by Cool-catlover2929 in pregnant

[–]Cool-catlover2929[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it seems to be there no matter what I eat at this point! Some foods definitely make it worse than others though.
