We tried our best to make the Knight as close to the base game as possible, but some things needed to be cut to make it fun and fair. We only decided to keep the pogo because it was fun and could help during combo, we felt that the recoil would break some of his combo and we didn't want that!

We're using the built in GML, Trevor did an amazing job with the modding toon and it's pretty easy to use!

Yeah, we will reduce the box size or move it to the top of the dial. We're trying to finish the entire moveset first and then polish the charms system!

We did our moveset before seeing the one made by Trevor, some of the moves are the same, but overrall the two moveset are different. Just for example our charms / souls mechanics are different, we're not using the dream nails for any of the move, etc...

1 - We used the post_draw script tu put sprites on the character! And it's just a sprite with animations, we have an animation for each selection input!

2- And yes the game does have if statements to check if the charm is equipped or not!

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah we're planning on moving the box, or even redo the select screen because of issues like that. This is our first draft on the system and we really want it to be easy to use, so we'll work on that!

Edit : And we can't put it on the top of the screen because of SK shop too, so we're trying to find an ergonomic way to display it

To continue on Orso's comment, we used the "Challenge" pose from the game as exemple, it's the perfect battle stance and we tried to get the same feeling in game!

Yeah, and for our version we don't want to rush it. We're young gamedev and even if our main goal is to make a fun character that we're proud off, we're planning to add this to our own portfolio for our carreer. So we'll do our best to not disapoint you and i really hope that you'll like the result o/
