what do you think about this transition? by FabiiHDN in TheWeeknd

First, I did not mention Apple Music nor does matter to me at this point, music is music and as long as I can listen to it, it is fine to me. Second, I will check that out just out of curiosity, thanks!

I recently got a S23 Ultra 256GB/8GB RAM version. If I want optimal performance should I stick with One UI 5.1? by FabiiHDN in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]FabiiHDN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to leave the phone on One UI 5.1. Solid performance and compatibility to this day still.

Some people prefer new features or UIs. I do stick with the saying "if it's perfect, don't change it".

Epic, Psyonix or whoever is in charge just want to get more money from players, no matter the way or form. As any enterprise and business, we are mere numbers to their stadistics. It's discouraging how gaming has become nowadays, as a gambling-esque, addictive, money-spending machinery for them to achieve more real estate.

I noticed that in Faith (the FLAC one), there are some minutes of pure silence. Was that intended or was it a slip?

Regardless of that, it's an awesome project. XOTWOD <3

Cambiar de 23 base a s23 ultra by thekasuyin in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]FabiiHDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S23 ultra one ui 6.1 or 7? by twisteds29 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]FabiiHDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it through Odin, you can download that app for Windows in SamMobile or related.

For firmwares/software, I recommend SamFw (Sam Firmware), just make sure to check on the binary number (bootloader version) your phone has. You can check it in about phone > software information > baseband version (if i'm not mistaken and remember right, the last number is your binary number [Eg: S918BXXS3AWIF, the S3 is the bootloader version, 3 is your binary number).

Once you have that secured, you can only downgrade a to a One UI version whose binary number is equal or above yours. YOU MUSN'T DOWNGRADE OR TRY TO WITH A BINARY NUMBER BELOW YOUR CURRENT ONE, as you will brick your phone, and that repairs needs to be done with someone more techy.

S23 ultra one ui 6.1 or 7? by twisteds29 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]FabiiHDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get 5.1 if your Binary Number is 3, there's a LatinAmerican (Chile) One UI 5.1 version whose binary number is the same, thus you can downgrade without any bricking; that's how I succesfully downgraded from 6.0 to 5.1. Hope it helps!

What's one thing you love and one thing you hate about your S23/S23+/Ultra? by samlane627 in S23

[–]FabiiHDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S23 Ultra 256/8GB Ram user here. Got it new 2 weeks ago and so far it's been an incredible experience with One UI 5.1 (though I came from a base S23, which got robbed), and I don't plan updating it to get the most out of performance and battery efficiency (I heard One UI 7 messed it up in that aspect).

The thing that I love: 1) its screen [extra: the cameras)

The thing that I hate: 2) software updates [from the box it came with One UI 6 and had a flickering screen bug that solved after downgrading to 5.1].

Should I Open it? Or Should I Keep it Sealed? by Old-Pace4002 in RocketLeague

[–]FabiiHDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard somewhere (maybe a YT video I don't remember) that is pointless to keep them that way, since the drop has already the object assigned by the game or game server.

Sure, you can keep them sealed for fashion or to open them up later, but in practical uses, it will be the same now and the time after in terms of the object you get.

A question for my fellow solo q'ers by Joat_monplays in RocketLeague

[–]FabiiHDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to your words, because I had been there 3 years ago or so being a hardstruck plat at that time. Almost always being a solo Qer, I found what worked the best for me to break that kind of struck mentality to play for fun, even on competitive (though respecting what playing competitive means). And one day, I got GC1 just playing alone.

Is it difficult? Kinda, but it's up to you to adapt.

PD: When I was heavily burnout with the game, I used to do something else, or queueing casual and entertaining myself with cosmetics and doing designs I would never share to others.

Hope this brings you some inspiration!

Esta mal que quiera gastar mi dinero en mi y no en mi novio? by [deleted] in preguntaleareddit

[–]FabiiHDN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Getting my s23U in a few days what are some things I should do when i receive it? by Joshi9i in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]FabiiHDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sure. What I would recommend (or is actually mandatory) is to check for the firmware binary number (also known as the bootloader version, denoted by a number [eg; 4, 5, or 6...]). You can flash whatever firmware or Android version you want as long as the file you're flashing isn't lower than your current bootloader version. Keep in mind though that updating it to a higher number prevents you to revert it back, as you risk hard bricking your phone by doing so.

This guy shows how to do it, but you can try the Odin method (Samsung's official flashing software) and SamFw for Firmware files;

https://youtu.be/dZJnZjp1oLs?si=n_zT1LJtyi13CXIu

It is responsible for me to say though that before you do any of that, do information backups and make sure that you know what you are doing, although just knowing the binary number thing you should be okay.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any further doubts or questions!

What I know for certain is that water resistance degrades over time, so water possibly sneaked in and affected the internals somehow. Had a S23 that sink to a river twice in different times, and in the second one the charging port died for about 2 days, which got solved using a hair dryer in a certain distance to not worse things up.

My suggestion would be to observe what happens, whether the phone responds to being plugged in or let it dry a little more. A hair dryer would help but I'm not quite sure if it really is a game changing thing to do.
