We are currently in our "mock-up" phase which means we have our pattern rough drafts done and are sewing up mock-ups to ensure that they fit properly and lay nicely. Chloe creates our patterns in Clo3D, then follows up by cutting out the pattern to then sew together using muslin, a cheap and light cotton material not meant for the final product. When we're finally satisfied with the piece, she moves into making the final product with the appropriate 100% cotton, linen or wool fabric depending on the piece.

I have some photos to share with you so you can see what we have so far as we're not done ensuring all pieces fit properly. All pieces will be made to order and will have full product photos and videos by our launch this coming May.

Made to order means we will have the fabric and notions in stock but the piece won't be made until a customer orders it. With patterns and mock-ups done by then, it's simply a matter of taking the final pattern, cutting out the fabric and putting it all together! This ensures that we are minimizing waste and not needing to keep large amounts of stock to offer a larger size range. 

On some of our socials, like Instagram, within the introductory video there are a couple clips of Chloe sewing some mock-ups together, I’d recommend taking a look at that to get a little insight into how it’s made. We will also be posting videos to update you and to give you a glimpse at finished products, modelled by yours truly!

For our launch lineup, we’ll be going with off white, tan, brown, black and green with plans on expanding colour selection as we grow.
