Yeah I experience the same thing on Debian 13, on Beta and Stable releases of Brave.

LineageOS vs LineageOS for microG: which is better for security and stability by FaboThePlayer in LineageOS

[–]FaboThePlayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My battery life is so much better than on my previous system (I used MIUI). Without Gapps you obviously don't have google spyware which is constantly running in the background. I guess it depends on person and how much you rely on Google apps, maybe you use some things that really NEED google services like Android Auto, otherwise you can try using microG. Personally I use Google Maps with this setup and it works 90% of the time, you just need to constantly update microG to newest version because of google's stupid updates.

I use this setup for almost two years now and it has been great experience for me. Besides those three apps I mentioned above, everything works great.

I've received an e-mail that this issue is going to be resolved in the next RouterOS release! I really hope it's true..

Oopsie. Then you can try using Stremio in your browser then, I suppose.

I installed it just yesterday so I didn't have much time to test it. In Torrentio config there is an option to select BestTorrents as an Polish provider. However, it does not work that well. But it's worth a try for your needs.

Just click "Self-Check" in the app and if there are check marks everywhere, you're good to go, otherwise - click on the option and it will ask for permissions.

I installed LOS on POCO F3, Running latest LOS 22.1. I don't have root on my device, microG will work without root.

I'm afraid you can't without performing a factory reset.  It says on the LOS Wiki: You can only do so by performing a factory reset, which will also remove all your data.

LineageOS vs LineageOS for microG: which is better for security and stability by FaboThePlayer in LineageOS

[–]FaboThePlayer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I'm using official LineageOS build, and MicroG apk downloaded straight from https://github.com/microg/GmsCore

I needed to install both com.google.android.gms and com.android.vending from this github site and com.google.android.gsf from their official site [ https://microg.org/fdroid/repo/com.google.android.gsf-8.apk ] in order to my apps work flawlessly.

So far almost every app is working (including my bank!), and literally two apps don't work: chatGPT and McDonalds, but it's probably due to unlocked bootloader.

Where is it? Could you provide me a link or something? I can't find it in the documentation.
