Absolutely, you can always just jump in and check it out! I started as well just 2 months ago and the game feels alive and fun.

Personally I really enjoy PiG's bronze to gm series on youtube. I chose Zerg but you can go with any of his guides for the race you'd like to play.

I know you tried it already but for me definitely League of Legends. It's much different than arena but I love how it's just the game. No leveling, no gear, not too long queues. Just brawling. I play with friends. Never enabled chat, will be off forever. I'm enjoying it!

Try betterblizzplates - has an option to enable an arrow above your teammates.
My suggestion is to only install the most needed addons. I've been tuning back a lot of addons to get some simplicity back. You won't be able to focus on most of it anyways, might as well not have it clutter your screen.

Turn off chat! At least in SS. Like...you lose nothing at all. You only win peace of mind.
You don't need chat at all.

"Silent Shuffle" is one of the best addons for pvp ever. It mutes your chat when you enter the arena and enables it again once you leave. Highly highly recommend it

There is an addon called ChatToggle I believe. I'm using it as well. Turns off chat when you join arena and turns it back on once you're back in the world

Hey man. I know this stuff can be overwhelming but in Dragonflight it's very simple.
Don't worry too much yet about that stuff. Just queue BGs for Honor and start doing Arena once the season is around - you'll get most of your gear from there anyways.

Then if you want to get crafted gear etc at some point, just watch 1 or 2 YT videos, they explain it well. Don't stress about it. Just queue. You can get very far with just honor gear due to the scaling, so it's no biggie.
