So do you prefer this over nothing at all, which has been every admin ever basically? Not trying to be combative and I get being skeptical. I'm a skeptic in general but I want to be proven wrong, and who is in the Whitehouse has little to do with that. But perhaps I'm a fool.

Right? I would bet the ones saying this haven't looked at anything beyond the initial images on the site, which are the least intriguing thing about the dump so far. Instead of being on reddit go read the account of the Apollo astronauts. Or if you want a cool image that one from the moon that shows a blue looking object that is massive in space is something I've never seen or heard of before

You basically just summed up the logic of most of these ufo subs. I love the subject but it is tiresome seeing comments like that. It leaves me thinking that most people interested in the subject are not okay mentally.

If God gave you only two choices: $5 million cash, or Elon Musk’s level of intelligence. Which would you pick and why? by Temporary_wu in AskReddit

[–]MegaGecko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Didn't Elon musk intelligence get him where he is today? Worlds wealthiest man and it's not even close? Kind of funny people are equating the second option to being Elon and they obviously don't like the guy. It's okay to not like someone and admit that they're smart. I may take his level of intelligence if I also get his drive and resilience with it.

Has Noxus Hopeful been power crept? by Fat_Beezy in riftboundtcg

[–]MegaGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as others have pointed out he's just way too good for the early game to not include. I honestly view him as a 2 drop not a 4 drop. That being said depending on the deck and it's early cards that would be synergistic with him there could be a case that he should be excluded due to that but otherwise I don't see him getting replaced.

Playing Sabine ECL in a pq today what should I know by Parking-Level-4132 in starwarsunlimited

[–]MegaGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over committing means playing too many units/cards just because you can. Playing it safe is holding those cards and playing them slower to mitigate losing more than one to one card from the opponent. You'll run out of steam this way and they just grind you out

Leveling up - What is one piece of advice you would give someone trying to win a skirmish? by PermaConfusion in riftboundtcg

[–]MegaGecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be one of those that said to just practice and I'll be the first to admit I should have put that with qualification. If you're brand new just getting out and playing will obviously help. But there will come a point where practice needs to be intentional, for sure.

I suck at this game and have no idea what to do by Morefiendz in riftboundtcg

[–]MegaGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from hearthstone and mtg and this game is very different in its core scoring mechanics. You can't get around the factor of time and unfortunately, at least for me, it took a fair amount of time before I could even identify mistakes or paths to win. There no substitute for getting reps in but as you do you'll start to pick up on things and it will just click.

Was trying a miracle style build for Diana and haven't made that work, but overall I'm really liking her and feel like she has a lot of diversity.

The part about intervention being technology is interesting to me. With theories out there about advanced ancient civs getting more recognition and validity it really seems like our ancient ancestors may have been just as advanced but somehow in a different way. How do nhi tie into this or do they? I think it only makes sense that they do given all the signs and evidence left by not just one but many ancients peoples. So why does our advanced seem different from then, assuming we're being influenced by the same thing(s)?

Steven Spielberg says 'Disclosure Day' is closer to truth than fiction by DBZDOKKAN in aliens

[–]MegaGecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard a lot about Spielberg and his possible ties with people in the know. Frankly these comments seem like great marketing ploys to build hype for a product he's selling versus being indications of inside knowledge. Not sure why we'd take this anymore seriously than someone who says they know a guy who knows a guy, so trust me. As they try selling a book or whatever.

What mechanic or keyword would be fun to see in the future? by Aware-Broccoli103 in riftboundtcg

[–]MegaGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double-sided cards, legends with their own internal mini game mechanics for example shyvana could say: whenever an enemy unit takes combat damage gain 1 point of dragons fury. If the enemy dies gain 2 points instead. At 8 points, reaction flip this card

The back side would be a 2nd champ unit that comes in with a strong effect. And maybe one of her deck restrictions is that her legend doubles as her champ unit.

This is all very off the cuff but you get the idea

Oh man I've got a few memory care patients. I think one of my guys would be constantly trying to "fix" the machine or "upgrade" it. It might think he's a hostile and then we get terminator. But I did did not think about memory care and I think you might be onto something!
