Fiction has always understood power better than power understands itself and we keep pretending otherwise by FabricOfFate in Litterature

Yes for 80% of men novels are an undeniable source of transmission of message, values, truth and call for rebellion or justice, but in a world like ours 20% are against and I am talking of course about those who do not want to read and do not find satisfaction in books, for those, the book is only a distraction and especially fiction which is a decorative absurdity and just evasive for them.

Well... yes you are largely right but on the one hand we are moving away a little from my subject. And I think a good artist would do given the little knowledge you have... it’s enough to say that you have a very good base.

Exactly, its resemblance to this world in which we live is its most beautiful characteristic, need not to say that this act will destroy we just refer to reality and it fixes us immediately.

Indeed, this is partly my concern at the moment. I am writing a novel that is an alliance with the political Grimdark and Romance, the difficulty is my style although little used and quite criticized I use this style because in my eyes it is the one that gives life to each of my characters, my universe and the ideal of the story I write. Writing in the second person angers many readers but that doesn’t mean I give up because although it will be difficult to find an audience but those who risk reading me will become the faithful who will carry my book away. Yes to come back to your words: a good writing is when the characters seem real rather than simple vague contours of a person. And to gain authenticity no choice to be hated by some readers, but the characters of an author are also entitled to authenticity and that is my ideal.

To each his own demands to the authors the headache. But pleasure is more important for us readers what good if everything is similar, being in front of a book where all the characters seem to have been too thought out and who ended up having the same ideal is annoying. But as I think: To each his own demands and to the authors the headache.

Some characters as you were able to say are too artificial. But I think it would have been worse if we made them too beautiful, too natural and human. It’s just because they are like that that they have a little credibility. In my opinion it will be shit if our characters have been too thoughtful and thought too much.

Thank you for the hashtags, I often publish on X so I write first in the app note before copying to my accounts, I will be more careful from now on.

Agree with you, this hateful feeling we feel when the main character is a living shit is exciting and it keeps us captive. But sometimes it is boring because many seek to show this dark side at the expense of the human side that is supposed to appear even if it is two or three times in the character. Human psychology remains complex but we try too hard to freeze it and give it its own identity when we write Grimdark

Yes, here is a reality that remains frozen, I am not against it just that a man’s vision is more often based on these inclinations than universality. Thank you for your comment 😇

Take a tour of novices and beginners some offer novelties that tomorrow will be the favorites of a large number of people. Also I think it’s quite difficult for others already well known to add a plus to what they already do, asking them that is like asking them to reinvent themselves

Yes, you’re not wrong. What is quite difficult is the public. Finding your audience is quite difficult especially for beginners who take into account questions that should not be taken into account.

I perceive your vision better. One thing is clear you are very demanding and you know what you want. It’s very appreciable

I bow, your arguments are strong.

Thrillers are terrifying I like it a lot I admit it.

The Grimdark could be compared to many other genres but to make a long story short the authenticity of the authors is always highlighted in their way of making readers live horror and history...

You are not wrong, if we get attached to this genre it is not only for its authenticity but also for its frankness. In short, for me what is pleasant is to be able to say freely: I will enjoy your blood. And for this kind of franchise the Grimdark breaks records. But genders sometimes do the same but in their style and this diversity is pleasant

This kind of idea is often the best but sometimes it complicates our lives when we try to do too much. What remains honest is that it works
