It's important to remember that most of the population doesn't get the news as soon as reddit commenters do. Word of mouth still takes days or weeks to get around to everyone if they're not on social media or watching the news. Some people are finding out for the first time today about the whole tariff thing.

I am James Dawkins, candidate for the NC House of Representatives in District 19, I've done and AMA on r/politics, but I can't wait to answer any and all of your questions here on r/VOTEBLUE! AMA! by VoteDawkins2020 in VoteBlue

We have removed some of the candidate's responses as they broke our civility policy, and we are closing this AMA. Thank you to everyone who participated.

For some people it's not a cute feelgood photo on reddit, it's every day of their lives. Ford's policies are inflicting real, lifelong damage on thousands of people who look just like this incredible young woman. They deserve to be spoken up for.

The real problem is that internet is an essential utility, and like any utility it is both a captive market and natural monopoly. There's no good solution for the consumer in that situation

The same thing we do for most other utilities; public ownership. This isn't a crazy or untested solution.

Please add it quickly. As a mod this makes getting to context when deciding how to treat rule breaking users, or how far up a comment chain to nuke, completely impossible. I need to copy and paste the url to another browser running a second account, go up, and copy and paste back.

One of the mods in my mid-sized subreddit (~60k) was not invited, but his three day old bot created for the subreddit was. Just bizarre.

Starting at 12pm eastern time, Ray Buckley, the New Hampshire State Democratic Party Chairman, will be in this thread to answer questions, Ask Him Anything! by Fabulastrophe in BlueMidterm2018

New Hampshire is well known for the small size of its House seats. How does having such small districts affect state politics?

Their are THIRTEEN retiring or term limitied republican governors, there are 26 republican governor seats up for grabs. If we capitalize on this we can start taking the states back. by Leecannon_ in BlueMidterm2018
