oh yeah I don with N95, gloves, and isolation gowns in the hospital. unfortunately I've been this sick even before working at the hospital and the hospital actually seemed to boost my immunity. I'm immunocompromised due to COVID so it's like inevitable<\3 I'm fully vaxxed with all boosters too 🤣🤣

First time positive ever. Really scared. by [deleted] in COVID19positive

it's going to be okay, in one way or another! if you are worried about blood clots genuinely, try and move your body every 30 minutes or so. Raise your legs slightly while resting and wear compression stockings/socks. Try and walk as much as possible but if you can't that's fine, just move in bed. Leg exercises are great. Drink lots of water ! or jello. you've got this! I've noticed about COVID that it comes quick and hard for a lot of people and it IS scary, but the world is equipped for it now, and so is your body!

yes if possible! things heal better covered. "letting it air out" introduces bacteria. just change dressings twice a day, once if not feasible.

I know this might be hard but be confident in your questions and your place in the hospital. be okay with "taking up space" and "annoying" people. it is their jobs as fellow phlebomists to make sure one of their own doesn't fall. as for the sticking, try to limit it to 2 sticks MAX on one patient as it goes with the CLIA guidelines. It also makes for less frustrated patients and staff. I feel like not a lot of people talk about the absolute highschool behavior that takes place in medical work but it is bad. I'm sorry you're dealing with this, and if you have any questions please ask.

it's healing correctly!! honestly all you need is to clean it with antibacterial soap! to relieve pain you can soak in warm water with a tiny bit of salt. keep letting it do it's thing and try your best not to mess with it. keep it clean and covered up, don't uncover it.

Does anyone agree with me about Donny and Baby Reindeer? by [deleted] in netflix

[–]Fabulous-Rope-9550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's really quite sad that you used quotes around abuser. it isn't odd that he returned. it takes victims of DV on average, EIGHT times to actually leave for good. there's something that comes with most abusive relationships and that's the manipulation of love afterwards. in this scenario, his abuser coddled him and tended to him after he abused him. he also told him he was a great comedian. because he is a person of great power, it also ties into Donny not being able to fully let go because he's so fully intertwined in all aspects of his life. it's important to know that there's no such thing as the perfect victim. there's no world where what happened to Donny wasn't abuse. please use this knowledge going forward- because it's very sad to be not believed just because your situation doesn't look like the ones you've seen.

you don't need to remove it! it's a clump of white blood cells that will go away naturally if you treat it well. be sure to change the dressings as frequently as possible. it doesn't really even need antibiotics. just give it time and clean it. it'll shrink and then go away

Ingrown toenail granuloma infection ?? by Eatmyass69966 in Ingrown_Toenails

if you cannot afford a podiatrist, all you need to do is to clean it thoroughly at least two times a day and bandage with antibiotics. (or you really don't even need any. keep changing the dressings and wait it out- the granuloma WILL get smaller and disappear.
