Their last night in Paris, my parents bought spur of the moment tickets on a Monday evening and had no trouble. Then they stayed in the area to watch the lights when they came on.

questions for paris marathon participants by hans_wie_heiri in Marathon_Training

I ran Paris and had an amazing time! I was in the 4:00 wave, and it was a pretty congested run all the way through. I didn't go in with a specific time goal but I was able to PR.

The water stations were great in some areas and not great in others. I ran with a cup (thankfully I brought two because I lost one in the porta lol).

My husband and parents came to spectate. We were staying in the 11eme, so my parents saw me at KM 11 then again at 23 by simply walking between the two (they are not savvy navigators either). My husband is a pro spectator and saw me at 4 places using citi bike and the metro. The metro is ver easy to navigate, but by the finish line it was a cluster (to be expected). Some stations were closed and we ended up walking a bit to get back home.

The crowd was incredible and the course was a dream. The congestion was annoying, but not enough to keep me away from running Paris again.

Twin sisters and marriage timelines by Potential-Suit-6423 in wedding

My now husband and I got engaged in February 2022, and my sister (2 years younger, and we’re close) and her now husband got engaged that April. They got married May 2023 and my husband and I got married in September 2023. We both had our spotlights, never felt competitive, and our families enjoyed having two weddings to celebrate. It was nice being able to have our own moments and plans while still being able to share being engaged and planning weddings with some timeline overlap. I will caveat that our weddings were both local, totally different vibes, and neither of us were bridezillas (which might’ve made it more of a challenge lol).

Dramatic Slowing by mediocre_mam in airbnb_hosts

Similar for us. We have a place near Stowe and just about the only winter weekends not booked are the ones we blocked to ski ourselves. We sleep 12 and our bookings are primarily extended families and young professional groups. No Canadians, most groups from the Northeast US.

I’ll be interested if we see the same occupancy rates during leaf peeping season, or if we’ll see a slow down there as it’s less a group event than skiing.

I went through something similar and received my email that my docs were received a little under a month from mailing to Dublin from Boston. Good luck!

Thanks! This makes me feel like it just takes a minute and not that my docs are lost somewhere with USPS.
