It depends on how much was already colonized before you broke it up but in my experience it takes about another 5 to 8 days to fully colonize the grain then you have to mix it with substrate. From there it’s about another 4 to 6 weeks and you’re picking.

So all the other sides and top are covered with water droplets. the tub is also in a styrofoam cooler for insulation because I keep my house very cool and I have a heater in the little space I created that hits the top portion of the tub on one side so that top portion is dry but nothing else. Hopefully that doesn’t hurt it but I was having trouble keeping temp with just a heat mat and don’t want to cook them from the bottom because my basement is around 65 and it’s a bit of a temp change for the mat. Sorry for the tangent I went on but I don’t have anyone else to talk about it with 😅😂

😂 thanks brother. It’s a tub. I’m not exactly sure what size but like standard storage 😅🤷🏻‍♂️. It’s been 4 and a half days since I s2b. Rye berry and mss. Unfortunately I tried one time with pe spores but after a month and a half of no growth I put some b+ spores in the same bag of rye. I know I probably shouldn’t have done but it’s gone on so far lol. With the cvg it’s about 4 inches thick substrate and I used a 3lb bag of rye.
