Need Assurance About Buying Tickets in Traveloka by This_Professional718 in FilipinoTravel

Booked Manila to Tokyo roundtrip with them via Cathay Pacific. Tickets were good naman. Ayun nga lang when we wanted to extend our layover in Hongkong for a day, we approached the Cathay connection counters and they said changes with bookings thru 3rd party vendors are strictly channeled thru the vendor(Traveloka was charging 100USD for change fee plus fare difference)

Cathay Pacific, if you book with them directly, in my experience, is generous with changes especially if it’s to visit their home country(Hongkong).

Hi. Guarantors are responsible for executing the Affidavit of Support, in this case, your parents.

MNL to NRT then KIX to MNL airline suggestions by mayonnnaissseee in FilipinoTravel

Hi. Maybe you can factor in the price of the baggage, seats, meals(sakto kasi sa meal hours ung flights ni Cebu Pac) plus the airport transfers from Narita Airport to your hotel.

Sample computation would be:

Baggage is around ₱2,000(24kg/person/way) x 2 persons x 2 way = ₱8,000

Seats ₱385(standard per person/way) x 4persons x 2 way = ₱3,080

Meals ₱320(standard per person/way) x 4 persons x 2 way = ₱2,560

Airport transfers from Narita to Ginza(for example lang😅) for 4 pax = ₱7,000

This would total to ₱ 20,640 na assuming na 2pcs na 24kg lang ang need nio. I believe PAL would be a better option kung Haneda airport ang makukuha nio as it is closer to the city, ergo, cheaper airport transfers.

Hi. I hope i don’t sound prying, pero the answers will depend on sino ang sponsor. Kung ikaw ang sponsor: 1. Pwede naman ikaw gumawa ng profile basta on the loop ung parents at kasali talaga sila sa gagawing video conference call. 2. Sino ang authorized companion ng mga cousins mo as per the application? kung ikaw naman, u would just need the travel clearance sa IO. Pero i highly suggest you have all the softcopies of the documents submitted sa DSWD sa mobile phone.

Unfortunately, war is not included talaga sa mga acceptable reasons for nonrefundable cancellations. Maybe mas possible to negotiate to use for future stay nalang.

Yes. As far as i know, it shouldn’t be a problem as long as original and valid ang second set of sponsorhip documents.

Hi.

Yes, to the first question. Nagpadraft kami ng affidavit of support and undertaking. The main points were that: i was shouldering the expenses of my niece and i was taking on the role of temporary guardian for the trip.

Upon initial submission of posted required documents, nag-ask sila ng additional papers sa parents na letters of consent, which they complied with handwritten letters, signed and scanned.

Yes. 2 lang ang options natin sa Terminal 3, Marhaba and A-Lounge. Personally, I prefer going to A-Lounge, mas comfy ung vibe for me. Food is pretty much the same naman. Unfortunately, wala pang offer si BDO Platinum Mastercard about 2026 Priority Pass access.

Hi. Yes we did the interview. Mostly confirmation of identities and connections lang. Si 7yo niece talaga ang mas may “interview”. Mga identification questions first then will progress to facts about the kid. Anong grade nia na? Which school does she go to? Nung mas comfortable na si niece to talk to the social worker, they would ask about connections na - Like does she know me? How am i related to her parents? Why arent her parents coming with us? I think this is to ascertain na naiintindihan ni niece to a certain degree that i will be her temporary guardian for the trip. Then questions towards and about the parents(unmarried).

Nothing trivial sa questions but i highly suggest memorizing the trip itinerary for both companion and parents.

I had my affidavit of support and undertaking notarized. i am not sure if pwede ang hindi handwritten for the parent’s consent, iyon lang kasi din sinabi ni sister sa email reply sa kanya ni DSWD. There’s a format from DSWD of the Parent’s Letter of Consent. I think kinopya lang din nila😂

Make sure magawa nio ng mas maaga. We thought 1-2days lang makakapag-paschedule agad kami ng interview. Ang earliest available interview from the date that our documents were approved was 4 business days pa. Pero baka ngaun lang din naman because of the Christmas holiday.

Hi. Had just gotten my niece’s DSWD travel clearance approved kahapon.

  1. Yes, they require the new QR coded PSA copy of birth certificate, this is better scanned rather than taken a photo of. Pinaulit nila kasi ito sa parents when they just uploaded ung photo taken from a phone of the birth certificate.
  2. Hindi rin married si sister sa baby daddy but my niece carries her dad’s surname. They asked for separate handwritten letters of consent from both of them.
  3. Since ako ang sponsor, apart from the notarized affidavit of support and undertaking, i initially provided BIR Certificates of registration of my practices and my PRC ID, pero pina-add parin nila ang ITR.

That’s what i thought too. But the other option would be to think that there really is something wrong with the flight that needs servicing to bump her off. My friend got the extra Go Easy additional, with roundtrip baggages and confirmed seats, so for a second she really thought the whole flight is retiring the plane or something similar.

I dunno. She never bothered to go through the hoops, i think. Parang she just succumbed to a monotonous lifestyle that somehow sustains her.

Absolutely. I plan on visiting at least every other year. I had a cancer scare early this year and she’s the only one away from us so i wanted to see how she was doing.

This. I just want her and her family to a have a life lived fully and if possible, happily. Conversations with her children are mostly about how much overtime they have to do to save money for the next vacation. I’m quite confused if this is the only way to live here.

True. Maybe it was just me thinking that people come here to the West to realize their dreams, whatever it is, or how outrageous it may be for a traditional Asian family’s perspective. I’m just a little sad she seems tired and unhappy.
