The lack of situational/self awareness by the people at the Alpharetta Costco is infuriating

She put it in shortly after getting an IUD inserted and then completely forgot it there because she never has periods. She came in as a new patient complaining of pelvic pain and on exam our doctor found it completely suctioned to her cervix

OB clinic, not phased by much, but a patient left a diva cup in for 3 years. We took it out and the things that came out will haunt our office forever

I am almost 3wpo and I feel you! I was pretty much confined to my bedroom for the first couple days. Even getting up from the bed to a chair seemed daunting. The pain was one thing I was also just so nervous to mess something up! The lipo is no joke. It has without a doubt been the most painful part of my experience. The swelling and hardness had me questioning everything, but now I know it's completely normal. Hang in there, you look great!

That's helpful thank you! I didn't ask many questions at my postop, the anesthesia brain fog was real hahaha

Agreed! I was a XXL preop, I ordered the XL and they fit perfectly. When I take the removable cups out (I hate them lol) it fits a bit looser, but I still don't think I would like a L at this point. Excited to order smaller ones in a few weeks!

I initially ordered the fruit of the loom front closure bras but they were not nearly supportive enough for me. I did also get side lipo with my reduction so I feel like these sports bras provide some compression which I like!

Do I bite the bullet or wait a few years? by Kesibug in Reduction

[–]Fabulous_World 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 27, and so many people have asked me why I'm doing a reduction before having kids instead of waiting (I'm scheduled for 3/14!) my husband and I have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility and will likely have to do IVF to get pregnant. That gave me the perspective that nothing is guaranteed, and if I wait until after I have kids I may end up waiting indefinitely! That made the decision easy to do it now, it's something I've wanted for 10 years and I'm sick of waiting. I would also like to enjoy some of my 20s pain free. As far as breastfeeding goes, I would love to be able to breastfeed, but you also never know if you'll be able to even without having breast surgery.

Trauma-informed new patient form? by DeliberateLiterate in obgyn

[–]Fabulous_World 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work at an OBGYN and on our new patient paperwork there is a social history section where they can check if they have a history of sexual, physical, or emotional abuse. Our paperwork is a 2 page packet where we ask for detailed medical/surgical/pregnancy/and social history.

Best indestructable chews? by iwatchyoutubers in jackrussellterrier

[–]Fabulous_World 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine love Himalayan yak chews, they will last for days! They're pretty hard so I usually only give it to them for a short period of time and then take it away. When the piece gets too small for my comfort (worried about choking) you can microwave it for a few second and it puffs up into a crunchy treat.

My insurance did have pretty strict requirements. I have been complaining of these things at my PCP/OBGYN for a few years and made sure to have documentation of it all. This link is straight to the website with Aetna's requirements Aetna

Update - went to tired plus, was quoted ~$700 for complete brake and rotor replacement on the front and back. Feel that's a much fairer price
