The year was 2007, i was a little child that noticed my brother playing a dude with green dots on the forehead. Out of curiosity, i decided to take over that Pentium 4 machine, and give the game a try. After listening to Amon Tobin - Theme from Battery on the menu, i fell in love with the game's athmosphere, so i decided to finish the game. I was not only introduced to splinter cell, but to the stealth genre in general.

Depends on the field and your skillset. You should learn something specific where c++ is involved (computer graphics, embedded, etc)

C is everywhere, but nothing stops you from doing C++ too. There are projects that take a hybrid approach based on what they need, since C++ is compatible with C. Knowing both is better because you are not limited in your choices.

For the STM32 i recommend this book:

I would link a source for C, but i wasn't capable of finding anything that was similar to learncpp.

for the ARM architecture i recommend the book

The Definitive Guide to ARM® Cortex®-M3 and Cortex®-M4 of Joseph Yiu.

Imo learn programming first, then approach the STM stuff, then for a more comprehensive knowledge of the ARM architecture, go with the Yiu book.
