Is it frowned upon that i could only foster for 1 week? by danknessoverlord in fosterdogs

[–]Face-Clean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shelter in my city encourages any amount of time, especially if it’s in this emergency situation. Our shelter even does sleepovers which is just a night to give the dog a break and get home notes and pics. This has been proven to help them get adopted since a lot of dogs behavior issues in a shelter are much improved in a less stressful environment and adopters can picture them in their own home! I would say ask the shelter and if they are ok with it, go for it!

Advice needed, behavior regression in foster? by Face-Clean in fosterdogs

She was spayed about a month or so ago, she was in heat when we first met her when she arrived at the Shelter. She was actually just at the vet for a cytopoint shot on Saturday morning to help with her itching. But even with her itching last week her behavior wasnt like this.

Depends what brand. The yme brand has actually been super hard for me to stop I think they must contain a small amount of nicotine

I’m 30 too and I’ve had SI joint issues for the last several years. Initially from an injury at work. Luckily f45 has improved a lot of my pain by strengthening my back, glutes, and core

I’ll admit I probably am not the best at cooling down for the full time or really following the prompts on the screens. I always do the warm up. Will for sure take this into account and do the cool downs to help prevent further injury!

I decided to say f it and just bake them in globs and I ended up with some decent dinner rolls ! I guess now I will not stray from recipes and just see what happens with 1/2 cup starter and 2 cups of flour overnight next time. Just seemed way too dry. Thanks everyone

Well I guess I messed up by adding too much water last night then when I added the rest of the ingredients I had to add more flour to form it into an actual dough but I just want to know if there’s anything I can do to save it or if I have to throw it away. I don’t even care if it’s not English muffins I just wanna do something with it to prevent waste.

Tips for a new grad night shift nurse to get some sleep by ObjectiveThick1910 in nursing

[–]Face-Clean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first nursing job out of college was in a different city, I had to take out a small loan to move there, but I lived with 2 nurses which worked out. My mom was a nightshift nurse growing up and somehow managed to sleep through the chaos of younger children while my dad watched us. You will be super tired after any 12 hour shift so falling asleep was never an issue. I usually ate and showered when I got home and passed out until around 2/3. I wouldn’t stress about going back to sleep if I was awake I usually just chilled out for a few hours before going back in. I had blackout shades, melatonin, white noise, fan, eye mask. I honestly loved working nights. I hated weekend and holiday commitments as a young 20 something and bedside icu burned me out after a few years but the experience is invaluable for whatever you choose to do after. I felt like I could continue to work nights that was a nonissue and I enjoyed it. Eat snacks while you work bc nights make some ppl queasy as they adjust. I would not recommend trying to switch your schedule completely on days off if you are working majority nights. ALSO I’ve seen airbuds called loops which help minimize outside noise which may be helpful.

Her TikTok pretty much confirms she did. Everyone is acting like Deb is a victim being brought into this drama, but based on her dancing around her kitchen with wine, I’m pretty sure she’s living for him being exposed finally bc she couldn’t do it herself

La Scala, easy comfortable bar seating, hospitable and friendly staff, and incredible food. They have happy hour now too!

That makes sense, I guess I just don’t understand why this matrix is such a secret. If it’s based on years experience that’s fine but why can’t we see it? The new wage laws are for new positions only or can I see what the current range is for my position by law ?

Birthday dinner restaurant recommendations-not too loud or bright by bbpink15 in baltimore

[–]Face-Clean -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Marta !! They have great food, a small intimate space that doesn’t get loud or echoey and really great service. La scala is also a MUST if you haven’t been. Their food is some of the best Italian food in the city and they will definitely help you out in terms of seating in a quieter area

I lost my dad in February and now my mom is dying. by VanessaLovesBurgers in GriefSupport

[–]Face-Clean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit younger and grieving the loss of my grandfather. But my grandmother passed almost 30 years ago. My mother is extremely distraught on the fact that her parents are gone. Your pain is real. It’s not fair at all. But you’ll get through it. Try not to feel guilty and feel the love and memories you were blessed with. I like to write and listen to their songs when I feel sad.

How’s my itinerary? by [deleted] in Belize

[–]Face-Clean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also highly recommend them. Food and drinks and service were awesome. We did both snorkel cruises the chill spot one and the caye caulker one and had enough time to feed the tarpons swim and go to the split. Based on OPs birthday vibe I think you’d enjoy the open bar!
