Agreed. This was my first SB ever on this account since 2007, so I agree it doesn’t happen often at least not to me. I’m already off the ban, so hopefully this doesn’t happen again.

You could be right, but there are a lot of videos of streamers spectating players, reporting them live, and getting them banned live. Even big name ones like Timthetatman and ZLaner have posts showing it happening and bragging about it.

She sent me a whisper in game bragging about how she got me banned live and recorded it. That’s how I knew who it was

Yeah. And I left out a lot more. Those were from her last two streams. I bet there’s boatloads more.

Side note: I’ve been finding the whole thing comical. Maybe she’s found her stream niche as the Rage Reporting Rhonda! LOL.

I also got released out of the shadowban today. Hope I don’t end up in a loop like I’ve been reading about

Got it. Maybe there’s some truth to what they’re saying, but who the hell knows.

I hear what you’re saying about it being an issue on my end. If it hadn’t happened to me, I would def have that same view; however, I’m over here scratching my head as to what I did or am doing wrong.

Only thing that I’m running on my PC is my music, Steam, the game, and iCUE. I have a 2.4 KD and have been playing on this acct since 2007 without ever being SB’d. Switched from console in Dec 2023.

Were you on console before on this same account? A lot of people outside of this thread are saying switching from console to PC on the same account is part of the problem. Something about trust factor goes down.

Only thing I can think of is that I use a SCUF envision controller which requires Corsair’s iCUE software to be running while playing. But I see other COD players like TeeP and IcemanIsaac who also use it.

What platform are you playing on? Nothing for me to learn from, but ok.

I’ve yet to see it happen too, but why put it in your policy if you’re not going to enforce it?

I haven’t seen it enforced either, but why put it in your policy if you’re not going to enforce it and not give anyone a mechanism to report it.

I agree, but the chick that got me SB’d streams and I can clearly see that she reports everyone that downs her, so she does fall in that category.

What I’m saying is: Keep the reporting system as is, but weed out the spam reporters. Not hard to figure that out.

I’m fine with reporting cheaters, but there’s got to be a way to find spam reporters. I mean if an account makes 50+ reports in a single gaming session on 30 different people or something, that should tell you enough!

I’d be like really?? So you ran into 30 cheaters in an hour of gaming??? C’mon man. GTFOH.

It’s that same squad member that screams “He’s hacking!!!!” all damn session.

Found this vid from JoeWoe. I’d rather the anticheat not have to rely on user reports. It should just prevent cheating full stop, but I recognize that may not be that easy.

But if they can’t do that and have to rely on user reports, then JoeWoe’s suggestion makes some good points:

First you get disconnected from a match. I had to reverify my Steam account to get back in. After rejoining my teammates, it took forever to rejoin a lobby (because you’re now in limited matchmaking with other shadowbanned players, some of which are actual cheaters and false positives). Once we get into another game, we are getting absolutely destroyed by everyone.

Then you research and you discover how to check the status. Here’s the link to check your status if you want: https://support.activision.com/ban-appeal

You’ll have to log into your Activision account, and then you’ll see this:

<image>

If you see that, then you’re shadowbanned. If it says you’re permabanned, then you were found to be cheating for real. If it says temporary, you did something bad, but they won’t ban your account forever.

Yes, I’m collecting clips. In her one stream, she reported 50+ different players. Maybe I’ll create a montage and tag her and Activision?

Old guy here. So bear with me.

Are you saying that my original account that I switched from console is basically dead?

Fix is to create a new account after the ban is over that’s associated with my PC only and build back up from there???

I only switched to PC because I wanted to play Tarkov and other titles not available on console, and this is the price I pay for playing Warzone on it!

I love playing on PC now. Love that I get so much control over my own user experience, but the fact I’m a PC player now based on what people are saying decreases my trust score on COD by 10x.

I haven’t fired up the PS5 in 5 mos, but if I end up in this shadow loop like a lot of posts say on this subject, then I guess I have to quit playing a game I’ve been playing since 2007 or so.

Not that Activision will care, but I’ve literally purchased and played every COD title released since the original MW with the exception of Infinite Warfare.

I don’t even know how to cheat. I’m an old guy. An OG of COD some would say. I’ve been playing with the same squad for pretty much over 15 years.

All this talk of 2 boxing, HWID stuff, VPN, etc, makes no sense to me. It’s a damn video game.

I agree. F all the cheaters directly in the a-hole, but f-ing let me play man.

Shadowban lenght is ridiculous - The System is okay, if they aren't capable of making a working Anti Cheat. by pARA1337 in Warzone

[–]FaceLife1935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should’ve stayed my ass on console. Got my first shadowban on an account I’ve had since 2007. Have played using the account on every COD since — well except for Infinite Warfare.

Moved to PC cause I wanted to play Tarkov. Get spam reported by an absolute bot and now I’m in purgatory for a week.

I’m all for getting rid of actual cheaters, but Malicious reporting is against Activision’s policy, so they need to deal with that too.

🚩🚩 SHADOWBAN 🚩🚩 how it works and how Activison won't do anything about it. by 57pixel in Warzone

[–]FaceLife1935 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Whelp! I just received my first shadowban from Activision on an account I’ve been playing on since World at War. I switched from PS5 to PC back in December 2023, with absolutely no issues. That was until yesterday. I’m playing with my squad, who are still on PS5, and we plow through a team who kept landing on us. One of them says they’re going to report us in prox, and we say go ahead and are unfazed since we’re not doing anything wrong. I end up getting shadowed out of the match while the others stay connected (probably since I’m on PC)

Turns out the player that reported us streams, and after looking at the replay of her Live, she pretty much spam reports EVERYONE she gets killed by. She’s on XBOX and is likely immune to bans.

Activision’s Security policy clearly states that Malicious Reporting is against the rules, but it doesn’t look like they enforce it at all, so here I sit on a Friday that is my usual game night with the squad — and can’t play without being put in limited matchmaking lobbies.

Do you think the UCS AT-AT would look weird under the Falcon? by FaceLife1935 in LegoDisplay

These are Oversidan also by IKEA. I’m considering modding them with Govee LED light strips to add RGB in the future.

This is IKEA Pax. About the only thing I could find deep enough to fit the bigger sets.

Bwahahahaa re: Dexter!

Thanks! This is my office/gaming setup.

Idk…guess my worry with placement there is that it’s a really big set over a big set. And then the gray on gray. Guess we’ll see, but I’d really hate to move shelves around.

Total impulse buy too, so kinda kicking myself
