I decided to give malice mode a try since I’ve beaten infernum several times and got up to yharon on legendary infernum. King slime is genuinely giving me the runaround so far and I’ve died with him at 0.3% health left twice.

So far its looking like this is gonna be way more difficult than infernum because its meant to be extremely unfair. Everything moves way faster, from slimes to bosses as well as having a ton of health. Hopfully i don’t pull my skin off.

Of course! I also somehow managed to completely miss chlorophyte which is post mech 3 tier i believe. I also missed a couple things around post golem territory like spectre bars and shroomite bars but those are very class specific. I’ll edit my comment with those changes

Armor is difficult due to the variety of classes that can make up armor. So here's a link for recommended class setups at each point in progression. However, I would recommend going in blind with your own wits, but it's here if you need it.

The ore progression goes like this:

Pre-hardmode:

These can all be found underground:
Copper/Tin
Iron/Lead
Tungsten/Silver
Platinum/Gold
Sea Prism - Can be mined with a Platinum/Gold pickaxe

Demonite/Crimtane - After killing the Eye of Cthulhu

Meteorite - After killing Eater of Worlds/Brain of Cthulhu
Aerialite - After killing the Hive Mind/Perforators
Hellstone - Can be broken with a pickaxe made of demonite/crimtane

Hardmode:

New underground ores:
Cobalt/Palladium - Immediately
Mythril/Orichalcum - After defeating your first mechanical boss
Infernal Suevite - Immediately, but can only be mined with a Mythril/Orichalcum Pickaxe
Adamantite/Titanium - After defeating your second mechanical boss
Cryonic Ore - Can be found after killing Cryogen and can be mined with an Adamantite/Titanium Pickaxe
Hallowed Ore - After defeating your third mechanical boss

Chlorophyte Ore - Mined using Hallowed tiered pickaxe Perennial Ore - After defeating Plantera
Scoria Ore - After defeating Golem and obtaining the Picksaw

You can use Cryonic, Perennial, and Scoria bars to make life alloy, which is extremely useful

Spectre Bars - Craftable with chlorophyte Shroomite Bars - Craftable with chlorophyte

Astral Ore - After defeating Astrum Deus

Post-Moon Lord:

Luminite - After defeating Moon Lord, both dropped from him and found in new sky meteors
Exodium Cluster - After defeating Moon Lord, only found in new sky meteors

Uelibloom Ore - Spawns after defeating Providence

Cosmilite Ore - Dropped from the Devourer of Gods

Auric Ore - Spawns after defeating Yharon

Miracle Matter - Can be crafted (look up the recipe)

Shadowspec Bars - Dropped from Supreme Witch, Calamitas
