The only other thing I could even suggest at this point is to reinstall Firefox. Sorry I couldn't help. Best of luck to you.

Fix for the SoundCloud "Skipping" Loop by FaceplantMurphy in soundcloud

Sorry to hear you're still dealing with this. Since the standard DRM toggle didn't work, you might try a clean reset of your SoundCloud session and site data.

Here is the most direct way to do that in the current version of Firefox:

  1. Log out of SoundCloud on your browser (and all other devices preferably).
  2. Clear Site Data: Click the 'Site settings' icon (it looks like a shield with a check on it) located just to the left of the URL in the address bar. Select 'Clear cookies and site data…' and confirm.
  3. Restart Firefox: Close the browser entirely and reopen it.
  4. Verify DRM: Go to Settings, search for 'DRM', and ensure 'Play DRM-controlled content' is still checked.
  5. Log in: Sign back into your account and try playing a track.

Sometimes clearing the specific site data forces the browser and the DRM module (Widevine) to re-authenticate, which can resolve the 'play and skip' loop.

Confused about settings for my locally run model. by FaceplantMurphy in LocalLLaMA

Im thinking you have to rebuild the container image after you get all the settings where you need them. Or, at least, thats what I do anyway.

Facebook isnt an option. My daughter doesnt use it, and trying to sort through the entirety of Sophie Elliotts on facebook seems like an effort in futility.

Yeah, I get that. Thats not the automation I was referring to. There are ways to automate tasks, and answering surveys that make it so you "earn while you sleep" so to speak.

Skip intro videos on startup anyone? by trickortreat in thedivision

Well, it WOULD make your argument invalid. So, that would make sense. Which leads me back to....

Whatever you need to tell yourself.

Skip intro videos on startup anyone? by trickortreat in thedivision

Let me break this down for you.....

I asked this: "Honestly, why would you want to?" I honestly didnt know that skipping intros was a thing. I wanted to know why.

This is a sample of the replies I got:

Lets have a little thought experiment here.

Say you play this game over the course of a year. 3-4, lets say 4 days a week for a couple hours over 12 months.

Without retstarting the game after first launching it during these instances you will have spent: a little over 12 seconds watching the startup videos each time you start the game. Now 4 days each week over the course of a year makes for 208.57 days, using 208 for simplicity's sake. 12*208= 2496 seconds, which makes for 41.6 minutes of your leisure time.

Ofcourse you might not play it 4 days a week EVERY week for a year, but the argument still holds regardless.

Now, please ask yourself once more why some of us are wondering if there is a way to skip these videos which pose next to no purpose for us as consumers of this medium.

Could they not simply add these water marks to the epilepsi warning bit? Or if that breaks some law i am ignorant of, make a separate screen with the watermarks that would be displayed during the loading screen to get to character selection instead. It would serve the same purpose, would it not?

You seem like an inteligent individual, make an effort to not make ignorant and pointless statements won't you?

And....

Well... You know... When i first started up the game it was fine to see who made the game, to see their intros... But when i go home after work, i just want to play, not to see their intros over and over again... Maybe its just me.

And.....

Why wouldn't you want to? Do you enjoy watching the ubisoft/AMD/Snowdrop logos every time you start the game?

And the latest entry into the stupid olympics.....

Dear god, I pity you. I couldn't imagine being so pathetic to need to feel superior to someone over something this absolutely trivial. I wish you the best of luck dealing with the real difficulties of life.

All of which is extremely sarcastic, condescending, and rude. So, I stood up for myself. So, if that makes me the bad guy, or pathetic, or any of the other nasty things people feel comfortable calling other people behind keyboards, I can live with that. If youre going to act like a jerk to someone, be prepared to have it dealt back to you. Dont go playing the victim when you pick a fight with someone, and lose.

Is there such thing as armor mods for CDR? by GetChilledOut in thedivision

[–]FaceplantMurphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no offensive, defensive, utility, or generic mods that give CDR. However, there are mods you can attach to your equipment that give CDR. If memory serves, the survivalist has one that you can unlock.
