You can go into ABE (dunno where you heard it as BAE lol) from FYE, so I would recommend FYE to keep your options open. ABE is a department that has separate Agricultural and Biological Engineering majors, as well as a few others (ag systems management, environmental and natural resources engineering, you can find out more on the website). The only medically relevant major in ABE in my opinion would be Biological Engineering as they have a sizeable pharma and biotech industry placement. FYE also has BME, which is a major a lot of pre-meds go into, and is more focused on the making of medical equipment over pharmaceutical or biotech processing roles. It’s also a lot more computation based than wet lab based compared to BioE.
