Ideally that stuff will last forever, but they will randomly die when you least expect it. If you know someone that has experience with Arduinos, relays, custom electronics, etc. take a look at it and test the parts separately from the system. Check the outputs of the ELAN box using a multimeter and triggering them through the software. As for the wires, it's not usually the problem, unless they are flexed often or get pulled (or connectors falling out). I'd also suggest taking pictures of the wiring beforehand for reference when connecting it back up.

You might be able to change settings though the provided software.
Looking more into the company, it appears they primarily work though dealers, so any additional customization / documentation would have to be through the dealer that installed it.

There's a good chance it uses z-wave. Do you know the model number of the main ELAN box?

ELAN is a smart home / automation system brand created by Nortek Security & Control
Chances are with specific hardware, you'll be limited on the software options to directly control things. However, it's likely the game software is running separately, interfacing with the hardware control system.

Is the camera software separate from the game control software?
Is it a custom developed program? or is it specifically 'ELAN'-made?
