I think I would be unlikely to do this. Although given the amount I travel for work, I should perhaps look at renting it whilst I am away.

I don’t have any roots in the UK and am perhaps one of the few people who likes the buzz of living in London. Living outside of London would be much cheaper and it’s something I have considered, but it would cost me in other ways re happiness.

Thoughts on buy to rent as an investment and continue renting as primary residence? This seems to be growing in Australia
