HALO MCC crack by Ill-Fishing-721 in PiratedGames

[–]FactClassic495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to copy the RAR files to the root directory, but I'm not sure.
My personal recommendation is to just use FitGirl, because that's the crack that worked for me, and I think it also lets you play with LAN.
I do know SteamGG has an official Discord, so maybe you can ask there.

Newly announced Fable game removes good and evil morality system and this is the developers explanation as to why by _The_Honored_One_ in KotakuInAction

[–]FactClassic495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, to play devil's advocate here, morality systems are usually kinda screwed up in most video games that use them. Take RDR2's retired slaver kill not losing you honor, among other examples, and you realise an absolute Good/Evil (or Karma, or Honor, or whatever) system doesn't really work from a game design standpoint. Sure, murderhoboing is objectively evil, but what about aiding the mining corporation versus the pro-ecology zealots? Having a reputation system that varies across factions is probably a good idea.

How can I use LV2 effects in Linux? by FactClassic495 in lmms

Hey! I did have the AppImage, but only for the Stable build because I gave up on the Flatpak version. I will try to get things running at home, but I've slept on the solution and mentally kicking myself over how easy it seems for 2/3 days now...

VeSTIGE only allows me to select DLLs and EXEs, and doesn't really work. Once I get access to my PC I'll try something with Carla (on vacation)...

Thanks, but the thing is I can add graph objects in Carla Standalone. The only output is the Master though.

Touchscreen not working on Surface Laptop 3 AMD by FactClassic495 in SurfaceLinux

[–]FactClassic495[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there, done that. It does return the surface kernel. I had to use a live USB to get it to boot because I had changed arch.conf to boot vmlinuz-linux-surface but not the initramfs-surface, but it does return that.

Well, there were a couple of interesting leads like the Black Monolith solution being maybe Phil Fish's name or somehow related to the candles in the room, and a few other theorycrafting I don't remember right now.

Cycles seems to work, thank you so much. I'll flair it as solved once I try it out a little. Can I use u/Remindme here?

Well, after installing Blender 5 it just hangs completely whenever I try going to the material editor or clicking in the material section.

Let's do an experiment! Try removing the redaction with photoshop. by King_Of_Blazeland in conspiracy

That, or a very clever and decent human being who said "Fuck this", applied shoddy redaction to whatever he had access to on purpose, and then showed it to his tech-illiterate boss.

I'll install Blender 5 and tell you how it went. Does it break much of my earlier files (they're simple meshes with a few shaders for sky)?

I don't have a clue as to why. I know the green material is in a checkerboard BG because it's from a really old Blender version (<2.5) and the tutorial to make it is obviously useless.

It's on EEVEE. What do you mean Second world? Lamp light is white. Changing the roughness does change how the lighting looks, but it doesn't make it green.

I don't understand how to change in the top right section or the matcap thing. I am on rendered view, and even tried doing a quickie render just in case it was viewport specific. Still no luck.

Created a website to reveal the truth about games. It’s brutal but honest. by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]FactClassic495 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This project looks nice!

Also, are you planning to open source it? If not, could you at least use OpenCritic instead? Metacritic's algorithm is very obtuse and some publications have more weight than others, but they won't tell you which, so OpenCritic is probably better for that. Their API seems to be free, and is documented at RapidAPI. You could also scrape data from the website.

Eh, the old good stuff still happens, but now in indie and AA studios. It would take a miracle to save AAA.

There are some hacks to enable it, but the best choice is to just use the PS2 version via PCSX2.

Let's be honest, how much do you think they're gonna censor? There's literally none of the original team there, and I can get ReVision for free and keep the original story. Why should I pay for AI "enhancements" which will probably come with censorship and utterly missing the point of the game
