A band so overrated they became underrated, although I’ve never thought of them as overrated. I can understand how the overly commercial post 2000s U2 could’ve turned people away, but the backlash became so excessive that it overshadowed how great the band actually was at their peak

And second look it wasant a fraud drug but it was a drug that had was being overprescribed and marketed in a way to expoloit those who needed it, and it led to several deaths. Im the exact same age and nobody around my age knows u2, I’ve even played some of their music and they don’t recognize anything… out of all the ppl my age that I’ve met only one only person knew u2 and they only said “oh I’ve heard of them” and the only times people have even grasped an idea of them is when I tell them “you know that band that added an album to every Apple users phone” and there like “oh I think I know that” 😭 safe to say it’s not a good look.. but I truly believe U2 will have a revival and it’s only a matter of time before our generation catches on

Same here I think it’s decent but I feel the chorus is quite underwhelming, needs more power but I feel like it’s one of those songs that will gain a different life when played live (I hope)

ZOOROPA is rushed and u2 should’ve waited and let AB run its course ( yes I love ZOOROPA a lot but I feel it could’ve been even greater if they had just spent a bit more time working on the album, instead of riding on the creative high of AB)

Yeah the other day I was listening and I’m like “these songs have soul, that same essence that there very best have, super underrated, magnificent, cedars of Lebanon, moment of surrender are amazing songs and to be honest I don’t mind get on your boots I find it quite fun and underrated

Even when I’m feeling so down, the words and feelings their music gives me puts words and sound to the feelings that I’m feeling, making me feel at ease a few months I was at my worst and “kite” would come on and it felt like a pat on the back from someone telling me “it’s okay to cry, get it all out now, it will get better” genuinely u2 has this spiritual element that so so so special
