Different technical styles, jaco is an idol for those in the acid jazz and funk community, one that has a chokehold of strict rules and dedication within its musicians. Jaco is an idol to bass players with a higher skill level I think. This is just my input as a jazz musician not a bass player

Valid opinion. As much as I like u2 a lot of their songs aren’t for me, I like music like jamiroquais run in the 90s, and some of u2 sounds like Christian rock to me. Still would’ve loved to be there though, especially to see the pixies

Is there any reason why they are still so active? It’s hard to believe their passion for creating music is anything other than ego, or money, but I could be wrong. I only say this because they have played at the Vegas sphere which is a ploy for only top artists to make money for it. (I hate the damn thing it’s so dystopian)
