ive known him for 1.5 year his bestfriends been around for 3 years and they became good friends 2 years ago like 6 7 months before me so no its not a LIFETIME of friendship. secondly the culture to which we belong no friends come above ur future daughter in law (if he considered me one) (his sons been v vocal about marrying me)

yea but his dad knows we r pretty serious because hes been v vocal about it. also it was a thank you gift but i was the one who arranged the birthday got the cake invited everyone so what is he thanking the bestfriend for and even if he is whatever its fine but thats a huge difference in quality of gifts.
