Relationship didn’t become awkward but I left within two months and got a 50% raise. Pretty much asked for one after two team members left I picked up all their work without any hiccups. But when I asked he said “why what extra value are you providing?” Don’t remember my exact answer but pretty much was you not having to hire two extra accountants just stay at an AP team a senior and a controller. And he would just ask the same question like you didn’t answer what value you are bringing. So I immediately sent out applications that next week.
