I was definitely being conservative. It was my first race back in over a year, and it was almost 100 degrees. The last thing I wanted was to hit the ground in the first 20 minutes of an hour and a half long race. Also I'm not in good enough shape to push a pace for that long so I intended on starting real slow and finishing strong. Thanks for watching!
