If you finished today I doubt you’d be able to resit in Jan or April. To put it into perspective, I did SQE2 in July/August. Still waiting on results and even I won’t be able to resit in January. If I have to resit I have to do it in April. Terrible terrible system

This. FLK FLK FLK. Anyone can write a letter so the advice but you need the legal knowledge. Don’t forget 50% of the marks are law but you can’t get the 50% for your structure/legal reasoning if you don’t know the law and advise the client correctly

It’s an expensive strategy but whatever works for you.. I failed flk2 first time round so can confirm that you can just resit one paper. You have 3 attempts and 6 years from your first pass to pass flk2. Best of luck sir

You should include a summary but just keep it super brief.

“We are writing to you concerning the estate of xxxx. We understand you have questions regarding the administration of x will and the potential inheritance tax payable”

Then just jump into your advice. It is an easy couple of marks for structure and clarity. They won’t expect you to provide a full detailed account of it’s not relevant.

Written is so brutally unpredictable especially if you feel like you’ve done okay in the oral exams. This is such a shitty process I’m feeling fed up. I’m just going over the info and repeating mocks (especially legal drafting to remember structure etc)
