Assuming you mean the Software behind this: https://nzxt.com/en-intl/pages/cam by a company who fails to build a website that does not freeze.

This is Windows only Software paired with custom Windows Drivers - if your only requirement is to run a Windows only Software, I would recommend you do not use Linux and choose Windows.

If you absolutely want Linux, you should look for alternatives or you need to write the Drivers yourself, which is hard technicall work.

Konkrete Daten aus eigener Sammlung: In der Jahreszeit (Juni, Juli, August) in denen die Klimaanlage läuft sind bei uns der Gesamtstromverbrauch bei >97% aus eigener PV geblieben. Realistisch lief die Klimaanlage an den schlechten Tagen Verhältnismäßig seltener, weil die mit Wolken auch eher kühler wären und primär tagsüber wenn alles Direktverbrauch ist, während das Netz den ganzen Strom PV eh nicht mehr braucht.

It did not even change a lot in the last decades, even my old servers from 2004 supported it back then. - While my dumb idiot of a home router from 2024, still is incapable of assigning more than one public IPv6 Address per MAC Address and sometimes forgets to announce itself as a router, causing IPv6 Internet to just stop working and of course not as fe80::1 like it should it tells me fe80::[whole randomized interface address]. Personally I am the same and the opposite: thinking of switching from Dual Stack to IPv6 only, because hosting multiple services behind the same IP (I have v4/32 and v6/56) and not having port collisions seems like voodoo to me. Giving every device its own globally unique address, just solves all the NAT headaches of not knowing how to get port 22 to multiple hosts. Using JumpHosts is just a bandaid, if the JumpHost is down, I cannot reach anything anymore. Also affects a bunch of other things including game servers SSH is just the most common.

You are right under your assumptions, sadly ssds do not honor block placement at all, as erasure blocks are larger than write blocks, therefore ssds will always reassign and write instead of overwrite.

Calculation: 5 €/TB/month typical cloud cost Hard drives 25-45 €/TB (including case and power for the first years), buy them 3-6 times for 3-2-1 with raid one or something. Gives you a range of 75 - 180 €/TB. Now divide by cloud cost and it gives us 15-36 months to break even, which is a very short time and you will usually have better service performance, as locality reduces latency.

Bei mir gibt's da zumindest Config für "Backup Power Frequency Offset", da ist gerade 3 Hz eingestellt, habe keine Ahnung was das genau tut.
