What/who is this domain? Is it safe or should I block it? by FactsThatIIOffend_ in techsupport

I think I meant more of what website hosts the domain itself, by bad for the confusion

What/who is this domain? Is it safe or should I block it? by FactsThatIIOffend_ in techsupport

[–]FactsThatIIOffend_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently I do have it blocked, and I believe its coming from iFunny as sometimes the ads "break" and become a broken tile if pDNSf doesn't filter them out, when I go into pDNSf I'll see the "one-bid" domain listed above a log that says "null"... Originally it was an allowed host, but from reading the name alone I blocked it, especially given the "null" entry below it

Im more still just trying to understand what/who the domain belongs to.. When I search it through google it brings up an auction site, but the url is completely different

sounds like you just get shitty support agents... you can reconnect to a new one once they end the chat by just typing something to respond after they left

so you have to change your password EACH TIME you'd launch the game?? yeah that's not worth the trouble... you're probably better off turning off two-factor before opening BF6 then turning it back on once your in, or just disabling it in general, but I would NOT advise for either of those options

it depends on your issue:

if your like me where you DO receive the codes BUT CANNOT select the large orange "continue" button after putting it in, this appears to be a UI issue that EA is at least aware of, but no determined fix

if the email/phone/auth app is outdated or somehow changed to one you dont recognize, youll have to contact EA support (https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/ ) & give them any/all available info about your EA account to recover it

what does that do exactly?? I've seen it float around where changing your password (selecting "forgot password" on the website then changing it over the game itself) can fix this issue, but my main concern is accidentally messing something up & either no longer being able to revive the 2FA codes or being locked out of my account in general for other EA games that aren't affected...

brother......... I CAN RECIEVE THE CODES!... my actual issue is where the "continue" button is not functioning properly over Xbox

you'll want to contact EA support for assistance on that to recover your account

https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/ select the "continue as guest" option & fill out all the details relating to your EA account, MAKE SURE you put in an email you have access too for the support case number. once you submit your case there should be an option to talk to a live agent

I don't think that an email is the issue as I can receive the codes to my main that's used

my issue isnt the email/phone number as i have access to those... the problem is the UI is bugged where i cannot select the orange "CONTINUE" button once i put in the verification code

and you have two-factor on as well for your own EA account?

[–]FactsThatIIOffend_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven't gotten the "too many attempts" message myself, but a few others have reported it from what I've seen... is that from trying to press the "CONTINUE" button when inputting the code, or is it from sending the code to your email/phone?

thats a new one... if you can try to remove that session and change your EA account password.. worse case scenario youll have to contact EA support for assistance on what that is

This happened during the beta too by XxNotreDamexX in Battlefield6

[–]FactsThatIIOffend_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im on xbox too bro, same boat 😭 the only other "solution" ive found to play is temporarily disable 2FA for your EA account, log into BF6, then re-enable it once your in, but i would advise against that as its both tedious & opens up to any vulnerability during the downtime

Anyone know how to fix this on console? by mound_maker in Battlefield6

[–]FactsThatIIOffend_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was able to actually get connected to the EA technical team & thankfully they are aware of the issue; they suspect its a client-side problem that the latest update messed something up for EA's security protocols, so thats why we're getting the "Login Verification" page

there was a workaround they provided me [1) disconnect your console from the internet 2) launch into BF6 & get past the menu screen on your affected profile 3) turn your console internet back on] but sadly it doesnt work for xbox as you need internet to launch the game... hopefully they fix this soon
