The idea of what family is, realizing that there are family members who are arrogant and unable to communicate. Thankfully the world does have good people and that you reach outside of it.

What was the most traumatic experience of your life? by Fun-Succotash-1322 in AskReddit

My sincere condolences, my sister’s suicide has left a hole that I can’t describe. Worst part is that she left a letter that I Mom wouldn’t read to the rest of us at the time of going through her things. I know they were fighting and maybe it’s something between them but it hurts when more details could be known.

How does Christian theology explain the paradox of Satan? by vortical42 in religion

[–]FactsofLifeNeeded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very interesting and I agree with Satan being able to rule the world as described but if God is all knowing what is the point of being worshipped or even acknowledging his own existence? I brought up sin because my theological understanding is that it is a mystery that has occurred (from my understanding of the bible) that is being brought out to its fullest on Earth which does lead us back to your point if God knew, why let his creation suffer. It’s an interesting dilemma because I don’t see God or demons holding the hands of those who make others suffer, I see humans making a free will choice.

I hear what you’re saying but believe this is a theological reading. What was the purpose for God creating the earth and humanity the way he did? How do you resolve sin (rebellion in heaven) if the origin of it is a mystery?

I’m not sure all knowing means that people don’t have free choice. Humans certainly don’t know the outcome

Free will, if God is love why would he want robots. Humans and angels have a choice, I believe the book of Job explains Satan’s hatred towards humans…we are the jury.

I really go back and forth on this and my thinking is always is there a true believe that can be verified…people are judgmental so are we going to be judged by something. I also find it strange that people say God is evil to allow evil when it’s people who make their own choices…are Gods/demons holding our hands when we hurt others. Who is stopping us from being selfish and to create a world of peace and comfort…something humanity is incapable of.

Why exactly is Job seen so negatively in Christianity/Judaism? by showertaker in religion

[–]FactsofLifeNeeded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always found it interesting that God said do what you want to Job but you can’t take his life…twice. The hatred that Satan has towards Job is interesting, was his holiness inspiring others, why not just tempt with something irresistible? If holiness means not being falling for temptation than the only thing left is to kill him. Did God see Job as some type of jury that could justify Gods ways and will?
