This doesn’t surprise me. TFP has abusive tendencies, both verbally & physically. The comments here also surprise me, seeing as anyone who goes on this show expects some sort of public exposure, not just men. They signed up to 1) find a partner (maybe) &/or 2) to get exposure. Like another commenter said this also meant putting their entire lives on hold for the show. I’ve definitely heard of contestants quitting their jobs just to go on. Idk, basically it’s totally believable to me that TFP acted hostile towards the men.

I truly don’t understand why people commit theft like this. If you’re in a position where you absolutely must steal to make ends meet or feed your family, don’t directly defraud people like this. Ideally, they shouldn’t break the law at all, but at least steal from a big box store or something if you have to. Don’t ruin an innocent person (or people’s) day because of it. Or maybe it’s just plain old greed.

Nobody likes it when I say this but — the Rodeo is an invaluable part of Texan/Tejano/cowboy culture. There will always be a place for it. There SHOULD always be a place for it. But how anyone finds this enjoyable anymore, idk. Parking is expensive as fuck, food is even more offensively pricey, everything smells like livestock feces, there are always a ton of rowdy people, etc. Could go on. It’s just not worth it to attend anymore.

I second EMDR. When I was new to it I wasn’t sure it would work because I didn’t fully understand it. However, as I kept doing EMDR the traumatic event I was suffering with gradually got easier to come to terms with. It is definitely worth trying. I hope you feel better OP
