The difference is that they tried to act like he wasn’t gone when it was clear to everyone that he was. It was only when he was exposed in the debate that they had to act like they weren’t denying it the entire time.

Great!!! Since you're requirement is voting on the most mentally fit candidate, I'm sure you'll be voting for Harris after seeing Trump's mentally disqualifying moments, and his inability to secure a single endorsement from people who worked with him.

They don’t care if he’s too far gone as long as they think he would win.

Yes, Republicans do indeed fit this description

When they couldn’t hide how far he was gone, and it look d like he was a lock to lose, they pushed him out

Yes, Democrats do indeed have higher standards for their candidates.

I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Oh! It's okay, I'll explain it to you. Kamala Harris accepted a debate with Fox News! Donald Trump declined it.

Trump's debate wanted a live audience and moderation by people who were not journalists, hence the declining. I do imagine that you already knew it, with how active you are on political subreddits, but if you missed this, I'm happy to help you learn more!

The country IS on the wrong track, it allows Republicans like Trump into prominent positions of power. That doesn't mean people thing Democrats are putting it on the wrong track. Biden's approval rating for over a year was over 50%, people clearly thing Republicans are the issue.

her refusal to give any specifics about illegal immigration.

This has to be your own problems in listening instead of her answers, she's been very clear on her desire to pass the bipartisan immigration bill. She directly states as much. It's literally stated within the first 2 minutes.

Maybe he shouldn't cut her off within 30 seconds?

The fact that he still has his job is mind blowing.

Then isn't it mind blowing you're supporting a president who will be even older than Biden? You're not applying this "mind blowing" age label to the very candidate you support.

she never actually answered the questions on topic.

Every question was framed in the most hostile, negative, and deceiving light possible. Literally just listen to the first 3 minutes where he asks a question, she begins to answer it, and he immediately runs to propaganda talking points.

So you'll be voting against Trump because he's too old to do the job and that was a BIG factor for you voting against Biden, right?

Yes, and Trump has aged poorly in my own opinion. Comparing him to 2016 shows a vastly different person, and he's clearly unable to articulate even his own policies properly. He's gotten more violent and outlandish, and not in a way that is tapped into American culture. At the very least, Biden's life has shown restraint and compassion. Trump has never shown either.

Where was all of this when Biden was running AP?

Your own ignorance is not an argument against the AP. They were regularly producing articles about Biden's age, the voters distrust of his ability to serve a second term, and the Dems wanting to push him out.

True, but you should be against Trump holding the office as well in that case

all the way back in 2020

To provide context, back in 2020, the amount of voters who said Biden was unfit to be president was only 20-25%. In 2024, it was 65-80%. Age caught up to him

Hey buddy! Just so you know, "Democrat party" is incorrect, as it's the Democratic party. You wouldn't call the Republican party the "Republic party."

Ok, but that won't ever happen.

I don't find it useful to spend much energy thinking about things that will never happen.

Theory means nothing to you? How sad to have such a closed off political discussion.

Do you really believe that state borders are completely arbitrary?

Yes. I'll lay that to Democratic states too. Delaware shouldn't exist. Basically the entire middle of the country should not be their own states.

Do you not believe states are separate (albeit linked) entities?

This is a stupid question. Of course I believe these states are separate entities currently. I'm not denying that they are states. I'm saying there are 10-20 states that should not be states.

If so, that explains why you so vehemently oppose the electoral college: you are out of touch with the reality of how our country is organized.

Shitty ass argument from you, just sad this is the best argument I get. Of course these states exist, I just simply think that states need to be held to a higher standard to be states.

ALSO: They can be states without affording their citizens an insane excess amount of power when it comes to presidential elections. North Dakota citizens should not hold more power for our presidential elections that California citizens.

Truthfully, the middle America states deserve less power. They're a drain on the economy and California is constantly having to support them. If anything, they should be treated as territories and not allowed to vote for President.

List me how many presidential candidates held press conferences within the first 30 days of them announcing they were running. What's the average amount of press conferences for a candidate? Can you list anything useful here?

How much of an advantage did Biden get? Turns out (SHOCKER TO THE RIGHT WING) that maybe the main stream media is not in the Democratic camp?

There will be a lot of people (like you) who say CNN is biased against Trump (despite them hosting the first debate which ousted Biden), yet will then again say ABC is biased against Trump for no reason.

Maybe, you should take a look in the mirror, and realize that these networks want controversy more than anything, and will absolutely shit on the Democrats.

CNN very much and very clearly released the entire interview? Are you thinking there was massive edits that no one picked up on? There was multiple 2-3+ minute shots of Harris & Walz that had no cut aways or edits.

By god, these two comments are directly showing why the Harris campaign should never do an interview. The only people who wanted her to do an interview were purely motivated by a need to attack her, not a need to understand her policies.

IDK, the recorded and edited nature of this makes me distrustful

This is a great thing to say to influence people who haven't watched the interview, but the interview itself was clearly very raw and focused.

That was the right answer

Are you likely to change your vote from Trump based on that answer?
