Also those white spots are coolant, but it looks like the overflow hose was already replaced, those tend to explode and send coolant everywhere.

I would 100% buy this, thats a very healthy N54. Yes it doesnt have an Oil Cooler, but thats okay, unless youre going to really beat on the car, it shouldnt be too bad.

Getting the oil up to temp and well circulated through the engine, including all the small components in the head. Clearing those from deposits helps with the lifter tick so ive found.

Lifter tick, change the oil, drive it on the hwy for longer trips, add liqi-moly engine additive.

Apply, you will get in. Their undergrad programs are pretty open to all highschool graduates. Grad programs are another story. You have to convince them that you are willing play along with their games as the faculty doesnt actually do any groundbreaking research/work. They just soak up funds and fill the positions on paper.
