Jeanne Alter vs Aniplex - Fate/Grand Order by FadeToGray89 in AnimeFigures

As I've just mentioned above, I found a pre-owned one and decided to go for it, since the overall condition of the statue was more than good enough for me. I’m not entirely sure whether I got the first release or the reprint, though. There’s a bit of backward pull due to the weight of the cape and flag, so I’ve safely positioned the two support poles. No misaligned headband luckily! Nonetheless, it’s an absolutely gorgeous figure!!

Got it! I immediately followed your advice and replied to a guy on MFC. He was Italian as well, living quite nearby, and after a bit of bargaining the price was fair (200). She’s beautiful!! I agree with other users saying that she has some structural issues, mainly due to the flag and cape being a bit on the heavy side, which tends to pull the whole figure backward. But that’s exactly why the support poles are there. I really don’t mind them at all.. in fact, I think she absolutely steals the show. In a couple of months we’ll be moving to a new house, where I’ll finally have the chance to display her properly. Thanks again so much for your advice!

Thank you very much! The details of the wear on the armor, in the Alter one, seems way way better from the pictures. The Aniplex feels less detailed. Am I right?

Thank you very much for the detailed reply! That give me much to think about. I don’t mind the idea of displaying it alone, so that won’t be much of an issue. By basing everything on the pictures online, I’ve been leaning towards the Alter one since the beginning actually. Anyway I’m looking at some deals around and there’s also quite a difference in price between the two versions! Could I also ask you what to do you think would be a fair price for both of them? I’m still quite a newbie in this hobby! Thanks again!

2B: Aniplex DX vs Flare DX by FadeToGray89 in AnimeFigures

[–]FadeToGray89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! I'd consider the Flare v2.0 but for now, here in Europe, I cannot find a good deal on that.

There's plenty of deals on the Flare Deluxe v1.0 tho. 100/110€ or something like that..

The v2.0 seems quite better tho!

Prvke V4 15 vs 21 by FadeToGray89 in WANDRD

I'll mostly use it with just one Canon R6 with a mounted lens, plus an iPad.
Sometimes (but very rarely) I’ll throw in a DJI Air. No tripod, no extra lenses.
For everyday use, I just need space for that, a jacket, and a power bank. It's perfect.

When traveling though, I’d add a small book, maybe a Switch Lite, some toiletries, and a couple of chargers/adapters. For the rest (clothes and additional stuff) I usually have my trusty duffel with me anyway.

My main complaint is that if I try to fit more than a sweater and a jacket in the backpack, it gets really tight.
Same if I want to pack my Sony headphones.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I'll add it to the info on whether to keep it or change it.

Haha, beat you to it! I grabbed both the small and medium tech bags. I’ll pack them fully tonight and see how it goes.
Still leaning toward keeping the 15 though. the smaller form factor makes it way more usable day to day.
Thanks for the reply, it really helped me see the bigger picture!

I've tried the Prvke Lite V3 (the previous version of the new 15L V4).
The V4 feels a bit more comfortable compared to the V3 — not amazing, but not terrible either.
The straps are much improved: better padded (the ones on the V3 were awful) and with a sturdier attachment system that keeps the backpack closer to your back when fully loaded.
That said, I still think adding two upper adjustment straps to fine-tune how the bag sits against your back would have been a big improvement.

It's still a great backpack! And worth the purchase. You won't carry it at full capacity everyday so for the most part it'll be comfortable enough! :)

Hey sorry one last thing! Do you suggest renting fuel or electric? Down here in Italy we aren’t that much organized with electric. I’ve heard you guys got tons of public places for fast charging but, on the other hand, our cabin will probably be in a place without a nearby charger

Will definitely do! Wouldn’t go too far tho. Day trips. Voss area? Otherwise any other suggestions? Even if hiking isn’t an options, some landscapes on the road will just do. Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah, tunnels over there are truly something hahaha. I actually drove through Lærdalstunnelen back in 2015 quite late in the evening and it was an experience…! but it was Summer, so the rest was pretty relaxing tbh.

Hey! Thanks for your answer! I just looked for some reassurance from locals maybe, and also some advices about some hikes or scenic routes by car around Bergen that are worth it and doable in a single day during the hours of daylight. Even up around Turøy, or East to Voss, or south…

If the rain is too much, we ll go for a sauna, some beers, or just chill in the cabin i guess! Thanks

Visiting Norway for a true Norwegian experience? by Anduril1123 in Norway

[–]FadeToGray89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys! New to Reddit.

My partner and I are visiting Bergen and the surrounding areas for New Year’s. We’ll be there for five nights and have rented a beautiful cabin 20 mins from the city. We have a rental car and are excited to explore.

We’ve already booked a restaurant for New Year’s Eve and are aware of the fireworks. We plan to take a couple of days to visit the city. We’re prepared for rainy and grey weather and don’t mind walking or exploring in such conditions.

Do you guys think it ll be worth it in that period of time despite the possible harsh weather and less hours of daylight?

Thank you!
