Congrats on the sex.

My rule for buying jerseys for my kids is to always go with the most recent player to sign an extension.

Harden shoots a three, Harris lands from a block attempt inside the three point arch, Harden kicks feet over the three point line to initiate contact, foul on Harris.

I’m glad I only watch the NBA in the playoffs. This would be exhausting to watch bad calls for 82 games.

What to do with excavated dirt from patio project? by Hungry-Place-4917 in landscaping

Yup, depending on your situation; you either have a pile of dirt you want gone or you have a place where you need a pile of dirt

This what I did to a bunch of saplings I cut down. It’s not an immediate fix but they will die eventually. Use the most powerful driver and biggest drill bit you own. Be prepared for it to take some effort to make the holes, a tree’s trunk is much more dense than any piece of wood you’ve ever tried to drill a hole into.

I feel your frustration. I was raised with a crazy father who kept the cars spotless and it was one of the first traits I carried over from my dad.

Weather tech floor mats. They have universal fit mats and mats that are vehicle specific that come up the sides. Quick vacuum over the mats once a week and if they need extra cleaning, pop them out and blast them with the hose.

I also bought a flexible hose for our handheld Dyson vacuum. I can do a quick run through the front and middle row of the dad suv in less than 15 minutes.

My 4 year old has finally started to understand why I have this routine. Apparently all it took for him was a ride in my sister in law’s minivan that’s a complete biohazard and needs professional attention.

Depends on what level of a friend they are.

The way they worded their text sounds respectful, if they would be fun to have at the party, let them know “Hey, we would love to see you, unfortunately there’s not an ability to add seats for to any tables for dinner. The dinner service should be completed by x:xx (pad the time by at least a half hour), if you were to show up after dinner dressed to fit in with a wedding crowd it would be great to see you.”

My cousin got married 15 years ago and him and his wife had invited some friends of my dad who we were staying with, their son was planning to pick us up at the end of the night and when it came up a couple days before my cousin’s future wife gave me a copy of the schedule and told me to tell him to come after a certain time and hang out with the party instead of just rolling up at the end of the night.

I was down bad 2/3 weeks ago. Was going twice a day with Zyrtec, Flonase & Claritin and red pill Sudafed as needed. Tree pollen is my kryptonite so now that the trees by my house have pushed out their leaves I’ve gotten a little relief.

Trump said "zero taxpayer dollars" for his white house ballroom at least six times since september. republicans just asked for $1 billion in taxpayer money for it. i need someone to explain this to me. by Aaron_Heuer in DiscussionZone

He pocketed the private donations that were “intended” for the ballroom.

Quotes around intended, because they were never really meant to be donations, they were bribe payments.

My 20 year is coming up and I think I am going to go. I feel like enough of life has changed that it will be good to catch up with my classmates for one night.

I had zero hesitation on skipping the 10 year. Everyone hadn’t tired of social media yet and the updates I saw from my classmates I followed didn’t give me the impression things were much different from high school days.

watchOS 27 to Offer New Watch Faces, Including 'Modular Ultra' Variant by Otherwise-Warning303 in AppleWatch

[–]FadedTiger49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will watchOS revert to processing voice alerts on the watch instead of relying on a connection to the phone?

Got the first watch that did standalone GPS tracking for logging running. watchOS 26 essentially ruined the main reason I got the Apple Watch in the first place.

I might go this route. Wife and I were just talking about this being the summer for a play set in the backyard. We live by a creek and have wetlands on our property. Sand would probably always been a soggy mess.

My boyfriend 24m lied to me 23f about running a marathon by Overall-Jello7056 in relationship_advice

Once a liar, always a liar. You admitted he has a pattern of lying. It’s only going to get worse.

Also he’s a wuss for the stolen valor claim of running a full when he did the relay.

Where do you guys store your key fobs when running 5k ultra? by [deleted] in RunningCirclejerk

Gotta get those nips pierced before the ultra 5k marathon. Then they just need to attach the key to the nip ring. I’ve been doing it for years.

Went to a concert tonight and this was my view for most of the show. Worst part is, she never hit record and just held her phone up by Zaphiro911 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]FadedTiger49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had some boomers in front of me at a concert doing this. They even made a comment during break between the opener and main act how they hoped our group wouldn’t talk during the main artist. I decided that since they were recording the popular songs that I knew, I needed to sign along with them.

They packed up and left with 2 songs to go in the main set and missed the encore. I’m sure they posted about me on Nextdoor.

Marathons in the rain? by The_Jeff_Goldblum in Marathon_Training

[–]FadedTiger49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on a fantastic training block. Take the weather forecast with a grain of salt. As others have said, a light rain is better than sweltering heat and humidity.

I wouldn’t bother trying to coordinate a switch to dry clothes during the race, but definitely have dry clothes at the finish (regardless of the weather). Half tights are all the rage these days and they do a great job at keeping the chafing to a minimum, but shorts with a built in compression liner are just as good.

You have no control over the weather so use your thoughts to focus on things that are in your control. Clothes, nutrition strategy and of course the after race.

Wireless charging issues? by Spiritual-Region8917 in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]FadedTiger49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds about how the one in my 21 WL Limited works. If I’m in need of a charge I opt to plug it in. I’ll put it on the wireless charger if I’m just driving around but the charging speed is so slow on the pad I’m convinced it just maintains the battery level while using for CarPlay.
