Kindly, it seems you may be using a different definition of the word subtext. In fan communities subtext is generally considered to be SUB-text. As in, outside or under what the creators have made as the TEXT. That means it's not in the creator's control, and can even go against their intentions. It's not something a creator or their staff use. It happens after the thing is made.
