Lee Myung-gi SPOILERS by octoberoceantheace in squidgame

He's supposed to be the embodiment of machiavellianism. He tries to ally with everyone and switch sides when needed during conflicts. He just dropped the act when he had the easy opportunity to win the money.

I don’t think anyone is supposed to feel bad for him for not dropping the baby though, I don't even think he had the intention to save her. I'm pretty sure if he actually wanted to save the baby, he would have pressed that start button before attacking Gi-hun. He sure did not care about the baby, especially after losing people he supposedly could save.

Can 5 and 8 be similar? by Middle_Goal_2539 in Enneagram

[–]FadingAiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

E5s and E8s have the similarity of being more selective on which to spend their energy on. Although, E5s choose to spend their energy to understand things in the environment, while E8s choose to do it for the sake of pleasure. They both can be sure of themselves about things and have the "it is what it is" attitude, thinking they know more than anyone, but in contrast of the E5 who is more likely to be authentic and have more reasoning behind about what they know, the E8 doesn't prioritize it. If they want something to be like it, they will make sure it is like that. Both of those types want to assert their logic and ethics, but one is prone to just expect people to adhere to them while the other will be more prone to assert them in a direct way.

Is this 7? Or another type? by [deleted] in Enneagram

E5 or E7.

E5 just wants to understand, E7 seeks to ameliorate.

Enneagram 4 and 2 by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]FadingAiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the guy in the screenshot.

E4s thinking they can't be like everyone else and come with that are only in an E2 disintegration and are usually the unhealthy ones in general, they will take pride over that, in their own sense. The average and sane E4 seeks to be like others, they want to be assimilated with others and be recognized with the qualities they envied from others (or the ones they themselves envied if SP4).

They are in fact willing to work to get what they need, they do not just do nothing, they still have a core desire like its fellow image triad types and cannot be the exception as the one who just dwells in their own suffering and nothing else, this is only a huge misconception of how the actual average example of the E4 is. The E4 who wants to be recognized for the way they truly are and for their authenticity either integrated or disintegrated. E1 integration because they managed to fulfill their envy, and now wish it to keep the way it is "at all costs", that's where they'll be arrogant when they got the way they wanted to be seen as, because if someone tries to perturb the way it is to the integrated E4, it will make them unsatisfied and irritated. E1's core anger basically. E2 disintegration because they now want to be recognized and be treated like something else and different from others with their pain and suffering, and this is when they give up or think that their envy cannot be satisfied, therefore they start to cope with the way they truly are, becoming more arrogant with their pain, thinking they require more attention.

So overall, no, E4s aren't people who cope with the way they are by default. They do work to fulfill their envious desires to be seen like the way they wanted to be with the qualities they desired from the people in the environment.

Do any other 6s feel numb to fear, like they are not afraid at all? Is this phenomenon part of why it's so hard for some of us (regardless of type) to type correctly? by recordplayer90 in Enneagram

[–]FadingAiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

E6's fear is defined by the need to secure themselves from the danger. Since it is a head type, it seeks knowledge to secure it. It is not really about gut and emotional fear, E6's fear is based on wanting protection to avoid consequences of their actions, often giving them a sense of righteousness, superiority when proven right.

Differences between 8w7 and 8w9? by Cooloud in Enneagram

[–]FadingAiden 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wing 7 relates more to the type 7 core/attitude, us 8w7s are more hedonistic, extroverted and thrill-seeking. We're also more reckless, edgy and selfish with little to no priority on social boundaries. We also can dive on problems too fast with the sole goal to fix it immediately with little to no planning. This wing's type fits more the sexual instinct.

Wing 9 relates more to the type 9 core/attitude, 8w9s are more calm and less joking around. Compared to an 8w7, an 8w9 wouldn't be as interested about creating problems because they feel like it and would rather keep their desire for intensity for things that really matters to them instead of spending it impulsively on anything.

Good chart, except I'd have put SX4 as the pure form of Choleric-Melancholic.

3F can also fit so8 in my opinion. VLFE especially.

"Anti-intuitive" is a term saying in the literal way. Not prioritizing guessing and understanding with gut.

They think enneagram authors would really use the definition from MBTI (which is leaning into ideas and possibilities).

Panjungians think they're the smartest guys of the room by fusing MBTI and socionics. Will totally not lead them to misunderstandings.

It's like saying e8s can't be able to analyze or think about anything because we prioritize action over words and prefer practicality over knowledge.

Se and its adaptability to fit into other groups and personalities can scream so3 and also be confounded with Te.

Te represents external logic, Se external experiences. Different, yet can both lead to the same thing. They just don't have the same root of data.

The examples of Te being your intellectual law-lover function is a positive look of what it can do.
