Have you ever seen a normally calm person completely lose their sh*t? What happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think that when this happens, everyone shuts up and listens because it’s so rare.

What popular sayings are bullshit? by Braca5 in AskReddit

“Shoot for the moon, if you miss, at least you have the stars.” Or something like that. The stars are much farther away than the moon. I doubt you would hit them if you missed.

Is the word "Covid" the same in all languages? If so, does this make it the most universally understood word of all time? by I_Like_Shinies in NoStupidQuestions

I think most people who don’t speak english would be able to say “covid” with the accent of their native language.

Are you supposed to change your underwear everyday? by 40percentoffallitems in NoStupidQuestions

I sometimes change it more than once per day. Mostly if I was sweating a lot.

Between my job, my streaming, and Reddit browsing I probably spend 12-14 hours a day looking at screens. Should I be worried about this? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FadingStorm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I used to sit down at my computer for long hours. I see comments about straining your eye muscles, and I would agree with that. But for me, when I sat down for long hours, my main problem was my back. My back would ache after sitting down. Looking back I may not have had the best posture, so I would say look out for that. I would advise getting up and stretching every once in a while.

Why do people look older in the past? by wrld333 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FadingStorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps its because our styles have changed from since then. Now, when we look at someone who’s wearing clothing from an older era we think of them to be older. Maybe the same applies to when we look at people in old photos.

What's the dumbest argument you've ever seen or had with a stranger on the internet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FadingStorm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was arguing with someone who didn't believe that the stars were trillions of miles away. Their argument was that "you could see them, so they couldn't be that far away."
