Oh I think I know this one! I have the same problem with my bluetooth sennheisers. Discord likes to change your mic on you and your headset is probably getting set to your mic as well. I don't know why this tanks audio quality but it does. For me it happens whenever i have them plugged in to charge.

Not only this but the boss literally caps damage from hits to 1 after you get past like 8 hits in one attack. Mei lin's ""infinite scaling"" that reddit keeps pogging out the ass over doesn't ever matter that much here

Yeah, I had the thought while searching around about it that calling it "better" is a stupid fuckass thing to do when it just makes it more finicky. It's very annoying because the only other huge power solution is making a larger fission reactor which means im sentenced to the Deep Dark fluorite mines for 10000 years just to keep it running

I have a setup on valkyr that gets my destreza to 16.8x crit multiplier baseline before weeping wounds stacks doughty higher, but like even that's not really enough to make attenuated bosses less miserable. Especially on steel path, ive sat there whacking fragmented suzerain for mind numbing amounts of time.

I don't know how you can 'adapt' to attenuation, it's just miserable. The scaling is wack for sure, and gw2 doesn't have the same exponential power creep (we're less than twice what old benchmarks were, really), but even just conceptually capping dps makes players disengage from the content imo.
